flavorless and bad customer service. my boyfriend and i went to dragon fort today, it was completely empty so that should have been our first clue. he ordered the wor wonton soup and i ordered a combo meal. i requested that my pork have honey garlicsauceon it instead of sweet and sour, and for some reason, i was charged almost 2 dollars extra for this tiny change, which is ridiculous. every aspect of his soup was disgusting an inedible. from the incredibly bland broth that might as well have been hot water, to the rubbery pieces of chicken and soggy white mystery meat we could only assume was some sort of fish. my meal was decent, not inedible but not that good either. i was still in shock over the 2 dollar extra charge for asaucechange! my chow mein had scary little white maggot shaped pieces of chicken, that was completely unappetizing. the portions are huge, but when the food is crap, it doesn't matter how much you get.. you still aren't gonna eat it. the waitress came around and asked if we were ready to wrap everything up. we told her that the soup was terrible and we couldn't eat it. she just laughed and said "oh its not for everyone i guess!". excellent customer service, there goes your tip and your restaurants reputation. all in all, we left feeling slightly nauseous with zero appetite for the remainder of the evening. we will never return.

ridiculous. they charge you an additional $1.75 to change the kind ofsauceyou want squirted on your food. what a complete joke this place is.

i ordered wor wonton and it was the most bland flavour i've ever experienced. the chicken was eggshell white in colour, zero flavour. the pork smelled like wet dog and tasted bad.

this place needs to get it's act together. i'm still in awe about the $1.75 charge to change anything on the menu. it's not like the food comes pre-packaged and requires a lot of labour to change the slightest order.

what a joke i say again.

we were in the neighbourhood and i had a craving, so we stopped in. it was a bit confusing as to where the front door was. we walk in and this older lady greeted us in an unprofessional manner as if we were disrupting her. we were seated and looked over the menu. i ordered the wonton soup and the husband ordered combo b, which had almond chicken, sweet and sour pork and chicken chow mein. i tried a bit of his food and wasn’t to impressed. the almond chicken was dry and the pork was as well (the sweet and soursaucedidn’t help. the soup was good. i got the regular size and was a bit much for me.

my wife and i were in the area around 9:00pm on a wednesday evening and she wanted some wonton soup. i ordered a b dinner which had sweet and sour pork, chicken chow-mien, and deep fried chicken. the wonton soup was huge for having ordered a small. the broth and wontons were delicious and the broccoli was crisp and fresh. the rest of the meal was not as wonderful, the pork and chicken were over cooked, dry, and rubbery. i did however enjoy the flavour of the sweet and soursaucewith the pineapple and red pepper. service was friendly and prompt.

edit: decided to give them another chance tonight. they have some definite strong and weak points. the wonton soup is really good; the vegetables are crisp and taste fresh out of the garden, wontons are average, and the broth is a little watered down but still worth the price. meats tend to be rubbery in texture, dry, and require some kind ofsaucefor flavour. their fried rice tastes great but could use a bit longer in the frying pan for a better fried rice texture. also the water glasses were dirty on the outside implying an overloaded dish washer.

i've been here a few times. it's my families go to place for chinese. i love their wonton soup and sweet and sour chicken balls. they also have really good lettuce wraps. actually all the food i've tried there has been great. only thing i didn't like was when we asked for some hotsauceor chilli paste for a table of 8 we were given a tiny little bit in a very small bowl. when we asked for more we got quite an attitude. will go back but probably just for take out 😀

i'm not a picky eater, especially with chinese food, but their food wasn't very good. the chow me in actually tasted like cardboard, the sweet and sour porksaucetasted watered down. kind of unfortunate because it was packed in there. oh well.

worst food ever! just order combo a and c and shrimp egg foo yong. the foo yong was smothered insauceand was not fully cooked. everything tasted extremely bland. there was no flavour at all. the sweet and sour pork tasted like it had sitting in thesauceall day and then dehydrated. will never be going back to dragon fort ever again.

uggh. we had a bad meal there 8 months ago and thought we would try again as we have had some good meals here. the food was obviously stored in a hot table and came warm at best ' last time for us.. they have such a big client base as they are usually busy .. must be the price as food is not very good lately.we threw the leftovers in the garbage

refreshing selection. this place is such a treat for a vegetarian in the valley - there's a few more options on the menu than most western-style chinese food places. the food has always been fresh, and the portions have been huge (typical of most chinese food places). the service hasn't always been awesome, although the staff were very accomodating and totally made up for mixing up an order once! i think it's comparable to any other western chinese food restaurant and its worth trying - especially if you'd like to indulge in a meat-free option with guilt-ridden sweet and soursauce:)

i end up going to the dragon fort a few times a year. my wife usually likes to endulge in some american chinese food once in a while. we usually get the garlic pork, which is one of my favourites, as well as some chow mein, sweet and sour pork (you must try with thesauceon the side as the pork stays nice and crispy), chop suey and some other stereotypical dishes.

by the time we are done, i usually feel a bit bloated from the deep fried goods, which is to be expected, but i also get a splitting headache. this is from the amount of msg they put in their food. this is my one dislike about this place. cut the msg by half at least then maybe i wont need any tylenol afterwards.

and yes i have asked for no msg before, but i am skeptical if my request was honored as i still had a headache afterwards.

cheers & good eats
