flavorless and bad customer service. my boyfriend and i went to dragon fort today, it was completely empty so that should have been our first clue. he ordered the wor wonton soup and i ordered a combo meal. i requested that my pork have honey garlic sauce on it instead of sweet and sour, and for some reason, i was charged almost 2 dollars extra for this tiny change, which is ridiculous. every aspect of his soup was disgusting an inedible. from the incredibly bland broth that might as well have been hot water, to the rubbery pieces of chicken and soggy white mystery meat we could only assume was some sort of fish. my meal was decent, not inedible but not that good either. i was still in shock over the 2 dollar extra charge for a sauce change! my chow mein had scary little white maggot shaped pieces of chicken, that was completely unappetizing. the portions are huge, but when the food is crap, it doesn't matter how much you get.. you still aren't gonna eat it. the waitress came around and asked if we were ready to wrap everything up. we told her that the soup was terrible and we couldn't eat it. she just laughed and said "oh its not for everyone i guess!". excellent customer service, there goes your tip and your restaurants reputation. all in all, we left feeling slightly nauseous with zero appetite for the remainder of the evening. we will never return.

decent food and service, great for large groups. i wouldn't say they have the best chinese food in town by any means, but it's ok, and the portions are huge. the line waiting for take-out was about 15 people deep when we went there, so they must be doing something right. great place to take large groups.

not china town. dragon fort is decent food. it's not amazing. i"m never wowed. but if i want decent chinese food at decent prices this is where i go.

if you're looking for something to knock your socks off you've come to the wrong place. if you just want good service and pretty good food this is the place to go.

my favorite. dragon fort ill admit is better to returning customers. my boyfriend and i order from & go into the restaurant atleast twice a week.. the food is always fresh, large portions, and they know just what we like.. we have never had a problem there. a little above average price.. and sometimes the restaurant can be really busy.. which the service tends to slip a little..

if your really picky with food, tell them that.. say you want it fresh and it will be.. they are sticklers with altering orders and sauces, they will attempt to ding you, be warned

ridiculous. they charge you an additional $1.75 to change the kind of sauce you want squirted on your food. what a complete joke this place is.

i ordered wor wonton and it was the most bland flavour i've ever experienced. the chicken was eggshell white in colour, zero flavour. the pork smelled like wet dog and tasted bad.

this place needs to get it's act together. i'm still in awe about the $1.75 charge to change anything on the menu. it's not like the food comes pre-packaged and requires a lot of labour to change the slightest order.

what a joke i say again.

dragon fort has always been my favorite chinese restaurant in abbotsford, but i've noticed the last few times the flavors have not been the same. i hope this isn't a trend.

we were in the neighbourhood and i had a craving, so we stopped in. it was a bit confusing as to where the front door was. we walk in and this older lady greeted us in an unprofessional manner as if we were disrupting her. we were seated and looked over the menu. i ordered the wonton soup and the husband ordered combo b, which had almond chicken, sweet and sour pork and chicken chow mein. i tried a bit of his food and wasn’t to impressed. the almond chicken was dry and the pork was as well (the sweet and sour sauce didn’t help. the soup was good. i got the regular size and was a bit much for me.

my wife and i were in the area around 9:00pm on a wednesday evening and she wanted some wonton soup. i ordered a b dinner which had sweet and sour pork, chicken chow-mien, and deep fried chicken. the wonton soup was huge for having ordered a small. the broth and wontons were delicious and the broccoli was crisp and fresh. the rest of the meal was not as wonderful, the pork and chicken were over cooked, dry, and rubbery. i did however enjoy the flavour of the sweet and sour sauce with the pineapple and red pepper. service was friendly and prompt.

edit: decided to give them another chance tonight. they have some definite strong and weak points. the wonton soup is really good; the vegetables are crisp and taste fresh out of the garden, wontons are average, and the broth is a little watered down but still worth the price. meats tend to be rubbery in texture, dry, and require some kind of sauce for flavour. their fried rice tastes great but could use a bit longer in the frying pan for a better fried rice texture. also the water glasses were dirty on the outside implying an overloaded dish washer.

i went there with my husband after reading the review of this restaurant. it was very good and we felt satisfactory with the food we ordered. the prices of the lunch combos were reasonable, but we didn’t order any of them. we tried the a la carte “dry fry rice noodles with beef” and “yangchow fried rice”. both of them were fried in traditional cantonese style and they were not greasy. it is hard to find chinese restaurants making traditional tastes (not fusion nor modern style). the services were good.  we have a great time there and enjoyed a delicious lunch.

first time at a chinese restaurant in abbotsford. i chose this place mainly because its review is a tad higher than the rest and the food served looks authentic. this restaurant is located towards the eastern part of abbotsford. ample parking spots. i was services promptly and offered a seat. when i looked disappointed at the location of the seating, the server came back and offered me a better location several mins later. good customer service!
the prices are acceptable and the variety is also quite good given that this is technically not vancouver. i ordered the yangzhou fried rice and chicken fried rice noodles and also a small order of the wonton soup. the wonton soup had 12 wontons and portion was quite large even for the smallest order. all in all this is a descent chinese restaurant.

i've been here a few times. it's my families go to place for chinese. i love their wonton soup and sweet and sour chicken balls. they also have really good lettuce wraps. actually all the food i've tried there has been great. only thing i didn't like was when we asked for some hot sauce or chilli paste for a table of 8 we were given a tiny little bit in a very small bowl. when we asked for more we got quite an attitude. will go back but probably just for take out 😀
