after ordering drinks we were told “no halloumi, no curry”. after changing our order to pizzas we were told no large pizzas as they were out ofpizzadough. haven’t seen a waiter in 25 mins.

not sure why there's so much hype ... it's an average restaurant... average food... don't like the seating... place looks charming though ... the complimentary bread while a very nice touch was extremely hard ... tasty latte, pizzawas average...

not having been to doppio zero often we decided to pay a visit on a wednesday evening. even though it was during the week doppio was buzzing, as always. we ordered a pizza, with anchovies. however, thepizzaended up coming out without any and then only did the chefs inform our waiter that they were out. we would've possibly ordered a differentpizzahad we known. the burger is average. however, the penne with chorizo and calamari is absolutely delicious and has a certain kick to it! our waiter, tendayi, although working the double shift was still chirpy and did everything he possibly could for us! definitely a waiter who deserves recognition!

a mix of new age contemporary italian cuisine and decadent bakery. a favorite of ours is thepizzaor pasta. always bursting with flavour and never disappointing. on average very good service and on several occasions surprised by how quick the food came out! good selection of wine or beer to accompany any of their dishes. a large selection of baked cheese cakes are always present in the corner to indulge a sweet tooth. always a pleasure to dine out at doppio zero.

this is the best and most consistent doppio zero i have been to. this is really one of those reliable, consistently good places that we inevitably end up when visiting mom in centurion. always excellent service, food consistently good, management involvement evident. my fav dishes here are the pork belly and for something light the lemon and herb chicken skewers with a side salad. their salads andpizzaalso very good, and can recommend the goulash soup in winter.

an easy-going restaurant for an everyday outing.

the restaurant has a great ambiance with enough option between outside and indoor seating. you also have a direct view to thepizzaovens and makers which gives a real and rustic feel.

the menu is vast leaning to a definite italian cuisine. however there is an enormous amount of salmon options available.

the wine list is sufficient with a fresh selections of craft cocktails. the cocktails however don't always deliver. we ordered the summer crush which had hardly anything to drink inside as it was filled with fruit and ice. the fruit was not infused and as such the beverage consisted of alcohol. the red wine was served cold with ice on the side.

thepizzawas classic italian and well made. the base was crispy and the topping generous.

the bread served before the meal looked like an entire bread as there was so much. the garlic could visually been mistaken for ginger.

the service was horrible. when we eventually ordered drinks it took 20 minutes before we eventually complained to the manager. the waiter proceeded to thank us for complaining as according to her the kitchen does not listen to her orders.

overall, the food and atmosphere was great, but the drinks and service terrible.

a lot of restaurants come and go on castro ave. and i think we finally have a good neapolitan stylepizzaspot on this street. i would think its safe to assume that this place will be a keeper. they cook their pizzas in a wood-fire oven and their yummy burrata is homemade. for appetizers i love the fried artichokes, fried calamari, and burrata. as for pizzas their margherita, doppio zero, andpizzade angelo are pretty good. i've had their pescatorapizzawhich is a seafood pizza. it was was good but i didn't love it. their wine selection is good enough. overall it's a nice place to have lunch or dinner. the service so far has been ok. parking is always a challenge in downtown especially during the peak hours.
