thefoodand service was good.  pre-show bar attendants could do a better job.  horrible seats for dinner show.  we were in section a1, so i thought we had good seats.  upon arrival, we were seated at the extreme far end of the arena.  we could not see anything going on in the center...which is where the entire show is.  could only see the back of any characters.  you would think that if you spend over $300, you would be able to see the show.  very disappointing and very expensive.

the show was good and very family oriented... good quality fun with dolly!! thefoodwas better than i expected... chicken was tender and i absolutely loved the soup ... it's creamy and delicious!! the only complaint is the seats are small and you don't have much room!

thefoodwas what i would expect. it wasn't bad, but not having utencils made it difficult to eat. i wasted a lot of the chicken because of this. i was disappointed with our reserved premium seats. we were all the way up front so we were facing the backside of the act most of the time and couldn't see the stage at all. my daughter is vegan and their selections for those who are aren't very good. they also forgot to bring out part of her meal. the tea is instant, so it has this nasty lemon flavor added into it. i wish i had selected pepsi. so if you like real fresh brewed tea, don't order this stuff.

good show, ok food..eat with your hands. enjoyed the show. thefoodwas ok, but not amazing. the chicken, corn, potato and apple turnover were my favorite. the soup is ok on the biscuit but kind of tasteless by itself. the pork loin was dry and too smoky for my taste. i feel the price is worth it considering all you get...preshow, show, dinner, dessert, and you can visit with the horses in the stables before/after the show. seating is long bench style, so unless you get an end seat or the top row of the arena, you are stuck. seating can be tight as the space allotted is not large. seats are comfortable. lighting during eating is dim since you are watching a show. you are not given silverware....you eat with your hands! so, bring plastic utensils with you if that bothers you.

overall, an enjoyable experience. i would recommend at least once if you have never been.

couldn't have been better!. we absolutely loved this show! even my very critical husband loved the show as well as thefoodand the coffee was the best we've had in branson so far (apparently, all of branson makes weak coffee). my 3 year old had his eyes glued to the performers and was well behaved from the beginning of the pre-show to the end of the main performance. i personally loved dolly's televised address! we are from chicago and have attended many professional performances. this show was top-notch. will definitely see it again the next time we are in town.

don't waste your money!. my husband and i were really looking forward to this dinner/show, and were we ever disappointed. it was the most money we spent for dinner while on vacation. the show was cheezy and depended a good deal on audience participation. the horses were beautiful and well trained, and the riders were excellent. the wait staff doubled as singers, and never missed a beat. as wonderful as this part of the show was, thefoodwas awful. the soup had no flavor, the chicken was dry, the thick slice of potato was hard and also had no flavor and the sweet tea was powdered. i didn't even know that there was such a thing as powdered tea. it was terrible. my husband had coffee, and he said it was instant and just plain nasty. our favorite part of the show was when our waiter brought us a warm, wet towlette to clean our hands with (no silverware) and when the show was over and we could escape. spoiler alert - at the end of the show, the cast comes out and their clothes light up. my husband started humming "like a rhinesone cowboy" when we got to the parking lot. i really thought something with dolly parton's name attached to it would be top notch. by the time we bought the tickets, had stale peanuts and a non-alcoholic drink in the saloon, and tipped the waiter, our night out for two people cost over $100.00. save your money. don't go.

actually really like this. even though i've been raised in the south, i'm not a "country" person at all. i have to say though, the dixie stampede brings out a little bit of country in everyone! it is a fun and cute show, and thefoodis so good. i've gone several times since pigeon forge isn't that far away from knoxville, and every time the show is a little different. i always look forward to the food. the soup is so good! i just love the little country meal. it is quite nice.

first off i attended the christmas show and i will say i enjoyed it an would recommend it to other families. my wife and kids (6 and 8) enjoyed it as well. now i wouldn't call thefood"good" though. it's not bad either. it's just there and adequate for this type of dinner show. it's very similar to medieval times, althoughfoodwas better and show better as well. the christmas show served up cream veg soup, a whole corneish hen, pork loin, half a potato and a apple turnover. one downside was not alcohol but it was a family event. performers were good. music in the pre show was very good. if staying around the tackiness that is pigeon forge you won't be disappointed by this dinner show. it was cheesy good fun for the whole family. don't go expecting "good food". it will be descent, you will eat with your hands and the show will be good clean family fun. dolly knows how to do a good cheesy western dinner show.

a fun family night out. other reviewers have said thefoodwas good, and it was. but you need to be aware it is all finger food. they do not provide you with any silverware. i would have liked a fork to tear the chicken with ... but maybe that's just me.

also, the lighting is dimmed, which makes for a nice theatrical atmosphere, but makes it impossible to see which packet of sugar/sweetner is which ("is this splenda? or equal? let's surprise ourselves!") it also makes it tough to see what you're eating, so if you have allergies, ask the server what s/he is bringing you. i will say that the servers have their jobs down to a science! they are fast.

the entertainment was fun and energetic, but for me, it was a one-time choice. i probably will not return but i also will not dissuade others from going by criticizing this place.
