poorserviceruined the experience.. we’ve been here once before and left with a wonderful experience, the food andservicewere excellent.
this visit on 07/13/12 was horrible. overall food was good, with the exception of the monterey red abalone. it was very chewy and salty. we ordered a bottle of wine and 3 appetizers first. the appetizers came within 2 minutes, but the wine didn’t show up till we finished the appetizers. we’re rushed by our waiter “stephen” the entire time. plus, he kept pushing for the lamb chops. we finally told him to stop rushing us, then he started to cop an attitude. if we didn’t ask him to stop rushing us, we’d have finished dinner in 45 minutes. the four of us spent over $400 and felt abused.
the place got extremely loud by 7:30p, couldn’t carry a conversation without shouting. the staff didn’t seem knowledgeable about their own food. our waiter first described the pig prepared 6 ways, then he mentioned 5 ways later. when the dish was brought by a server, he could only described to us 2 out of the 6 ways. he didn’t even offer to go find out from someone else. poorserviceand lacks training.
what happened to this restaurant? we would return for the food, but not with this kind of service.
