to the real question, is this the best pizza inseattleand is it worth the two hour wait in the freezing cold for it? it is definitely one of the top contenders, depending on the type of pizza you like. the closest comparison in its class is serious pie, but this crust is just a little more delicate than serious pie and the ingredients are simpler. there’s any airiness in the crust that no other place has been able to replicate...

this place is incredible. it's the best pizza inseattleand one of my top 3 favorite restaurants. make sure you try the jersey salad with your pizza.

delancey has been on my list since it opened.  i actually wanted to try it before it opened.  i was always a fan of molly's orangette blog and quickly purchased her first book the moment it was released.  despite all this admiration, it somehow took me around four years to get over to ballard.  i knew to arrive early because the popularity of this place hasn't subsided and for a good reason.  their unique pizzas are just whatseattleneeded in a city of many good pizza joints.  i'd say delancey pizzas are three parts new york-style and one part neapolitan.  i love the crisp crusts and local toppings.  the simplicity of the interior is welcoming and says "stay awhile."  and that cookie.  i don't like chocolate chip cookies normally.  their salted chocolate chip cookie is life-changing.  delivered warm and gooey on a plate, i had to order a glass of milk to accompany it.  and it was the perfect ending to a perfect night.  delancey may be all the way across town but it's one of those plac

top 5 inseattlepizza but not the top. definately worth a try. but for those in search of the perfect pizza, this is not it. perhaps it was all the hype but i was underwhelmed. still, as far asseattleza goes, this ranks a solid b+.

over rated. most of theseattlemags. (stranger,seattleweekly) have praised this as the second coming of pizza. it is just not the case. i my opnion it is no better then tutta bella. i like both places. they both are very good and would not protest in going back. the wait could be a killer.

fantastic food and lovley atmosphere. after returning from a trip in italy and stuffing myself with pizza on a daily basis, i came back toseattleand was so very excited to try out delancey. i was not disappointment. my group and i got a few different kinds of pizza and shared them all. this was a good plan for us because it gave us the option to have a variety of the very creative kinds of pizza that were offered at delancey. i would recommend this dinner spot to anyone who loves good food and a cozy atmosphere! just make sure you show up early because the wait can be a while.
