may have a future. i agree that they are full of themselves, but i like supporting young people who are trying to make a success of their business. i have constructive criticism, and hope they are reading reviews. pizza dough and sauce are authentic, but crust is way too thin, and pizza is way overdone (there were many burnt places on my pizza, so half of it was inedible). i noticed all the other pizzas around me looked the same. how about taking it out of the oven a little earlier? also, very chintzy on the mozzarella. i wanted the prosciutto pizza, and knowing how weird u.s. places that pretend they know how to make napoletano pizza are, i asked if they actually cook the prosciutto on the pizza. as i suspected, she said no, and "why" (i disagree as to the "why" & will spare you the details). but, the waitress was good...no complaints for the poor dear. nobody in italy puts crude/cold meats on their pizzas. here's how you do it...make the crust a little thicker to actually support some toppings, put on sauce and a drizzle of olive oil--this is what gets everything cooking evenly on the pizza, then add the meat, and finally the mozzarella, enough to cover the meat. the pizza i had was not worth $14, since there was very little mozzarella, but they did let the prosciutto cook onto it, so i appreciated that. also, it was hard to find the place because they have no sign on the storefront, and zero ambiance. even the smallest of bank loans could have helped them spruce the place up a little. you have to look for the poor schmucks waiting in line to find the front door. i won't be waiting in line again, sorry to say. but, i do hope they improve, and if i read signs of that in others' reviews past mine, i might try it again. being from an italian family who's lived in italy, i can tell you that if you're looking for something like that, at least for now, it doesn't come close enough. oh, and, they don't do takeout? what kind of pizza place doesn't do takeout, especially when they don't have that many tables? oh, i forgot...they're full of themselves.
