tasty food! quick & friendly service!!. we found this little gem via urbansoon. we arrived with 4 hungry small kids at 6:00 on a wed eve. found a nice table outdoors which was good for the littles. derek, our server, was great! very efficient & quick! the restaurant isnt super kid friendly (no complaints, just be aware).....no kids menu or high chairs that i could see, but we got along just fine. my boys split a super tasty burger & my girls shared the light portion of homemade mac n cheese. perfect! i had the shredded chicken mexican salad.....with homemade spicy ranch & taco bowl.......great! i really appreciate derek being so attentive and for making our visit to ddgrillso great!

i’ve been to the american pubgrillcasually for drinks and late snacks with friends in the past and i’ve always had a good experience. i have found memories with friends by their outdoor fire pit. i recently got reacquired with deep deucegrillwhen i went on a foodie foot tour. during this tour and another visit later on with friends, i sampled various foods from their new menu. the chicken enchilada dip ($10) was an amazing starter. it’s not your boring chips and queso. no, this baby was served in a bowl lined with corn tortillas, filled with yummy, yummy cheese sauce, chicken, tomatoes, and avocado. it packed some serious flavor.

great location--that is about it.. everything about the place is very average. sure, the building has a lot of potential and there is a pretty nice looking patio, but the food, beer selection, and service were ultimately mediocre, and those are three of the things i think a bar andgrillshould ultimately hang their hat on. crab dip was overpriced given the lack of anything that appeared to be crab, wings were very pedestrian, and--and this is a gripe i have with more than a few places-- if you're going to cook my burger well done, what is the point of even asking me how i want it cooked? not really worth the time or money.

ups and downs over the years. been going here since 2004... deep deucegrillis an awesome neighborhood bar, and has only gotten better as the patio as added a full service bar outside. .... the atmosphere, patio and drinks are awesome. problem is, staff is so-so and fleeding... rgaular staff members are awesome.... new staff and "non-regular staff" tend to be iffy... biggest problem is the food. it has gone from really bad (pre-2007) to excellent to poor. seems like chefs rotate quite often and the food is dependant on who is the current chef.

on my latest visit, i saw the menu had change to stickly sandwiches and burgers. i thought something must have changed in the kitchen and it had. the food is nothing more than what you could prepare in your own kitchen with what you could buy at walmart. the food had a very, out of a bag, out of a can feel. the fush taco have gone from the best in town to what i would consider the worse in town.

go for the atmosphere! go for the drinks! go for the patio... though don't go if you expect a great or even good dinner.

very average. made a point of visiting thegrillon a friday night. appetizer of chips and salsa was tasty. entrees were average at best. chicken sandwich was way overcooked, burger was just a burger. service was ok.

hmm.... i neither love deep deucegrillnor hate it. service is usually good... the bartenders and servers are chatty and fun, and usually recognize you if you've been in more than once. it's a great place to watch sports if you can get a seat at the bar. the food is also decent, but nothing spectacular. they recently changed the menu and took off some of my favorite things! also, both the food and drink pricing is just a wee bit high, i would expect things to be just a little cheaper given the general atmosphere of the place.

new management no better than old.. we visited deep deucegrillon sunday for lunch. there was one other couple eating there. the service was very friendly. we placed our order and after waiting 20 or 30 minutes, the waitress mentioned that the gift certificate i had laid on the table would not be honored. this does not seem like a good decision for management to make when the restaurant is trying to recover from bad service under previous management.

also, the menu has changed. conspicuous in its absence is their formerly awesome chocolate cake. all they offered when we were there was carrot cake.
