category: fun neighborhood midtown pizzeria. verdict: tasty pizza, laid back style, good parking. davinci's, an otp pizzeria, has opened a location on west peachtree in midtown. it's a casual atmosphere. you order at the counter; they have a nice covered patio with a lot of seating. better yet, they have free parking, a plus in this neighborhood. i had a salad and a pizza. the house salad was pretty good, although the balsamic dressing was fairly bland. i ordered an individualpizzawith pepperoni, mushroom, and red peppers. overall, i really enjoyed it; having it come out of the oven piping hot was certainly a factor. the crust was good, although it could be a little chewier to meet true nyc standards. the roasted red peppers made a great topping.

road trip, on our way quickly through atl.  really hard to find gluten freepizzain atl?  who'd a thunk? hello people it's 2017, like 80% of our population has a gluten sensitivity!?
so we found this cute little spot!   kind of a little dive downtown...wouldn't necessarily stop unless you were told to.  thepizzais solid!  the gf crust isn't the best i have ever had but still very good.  the toppings were really good!  we ordered 3 gf pizza's...hawaiian, italian stallion and the deluxe.  the stallion was our favorite, but all three were very tasty.  we also got a greek salad which was a nice portion of greens (not white crappy lettuce), lots of toppings true to a greek salad, but a slight disappointment in the dressing that was just a pre-made balsamic...should have been a true greek dressing with olive oil.  the girl who took our order and the delivery guy who answered the phone (anthony) were very helpful and thoughtful in their attempt to get all the ingredient information on the gf crust.

bad pizza, great salad and the worst customer service ever. update 3/8/15 2:30 p.m (midtown location). : i'd like to update my review. i will never eat at davinci's ever again! after the horrible experience i had placing my order, i opted to have a co-worker pick-up my side salad because i was already upset. when she arrived, she asked about my order and the price, and the manager then gave her a receipt, and stated "if there was an error, it was on her (i.e. the customer)." then the employee gave my coworker the salad without collecting payment and told her to "have a good day." my coworker assumed that the meal was free due to all of the issues that i had been having.

this was not the case, the incompetent employee forgot to collect payment and came back to my job - saying "that we did not pay for the meal, and that if we didn't pay it would come out of his check." while i understand that there may have been a misunderstanding, at this point i was so frustrated i was ready to send the salad back because i didn't want to give them any money at all.

after speaking with the employee that came to get the money, i thought that he would tell me to keep the salad, and apologize for the poor customer service. he did not and said that he would take the salad back or we would have to pay. my coworker did not want to continue arguing with him, therefore she gave him $5 (yea i know right - all this! losing a repeat customer over $5).

just when i thought the ordeal was over, and that i would never have to deal with davinci's again, i received a call from one of their employees 30 minutes later asking me to remove my review on yelp and on google. no one called to apologize or offer me any type of voucher - or better yet my money back, they just wanted to make themselves look good! unbelievable! now there is no chance that i will ever become a customer again, i don't care how good their salads are. people beware! this is not a business that values service.

original review:

i usually don't write reviews, but i was so irate about the poor customer service, that i thought that it should be noted.

1. every time you call to place an order, you're put on a 10 minute hold
2. every time i order from da vinci's the price is always different - the price shouldn't be different
within a 24 hour period.
3. thepizzais not that good to be honest, but i am a fan of the salads
4. awful customer service - they are unaware, untimely and are unappreciative of reoccurring customers .

i order a salad from davinci's every saturday and sunday, yet they have failed to improve their customer service. there are so manypizzaplaces in midtown - there's no need to deal with one that does not appreciate your money. when you work hard for your money, don't just spend it at a mediocre business that doesn't value its customers, and where the management say's that "they're not sure what to tell you...it's not their problem."

review. davinci's is a cool place to go before or after visiting the high museum of art. it is located within walking distance of the high. the counter service was efficient and the speed in which thepizzawas delivered was excellent. thepizzawas a tasty thin crust. we ordered pepperoni and mushroom. the pepperoni was not very plentiful and the sauce was very sweet and appeared to be a mass produced sauce. regardless, the pie was good and we would go again.

found this gem in midtown with greatpizzaand beer. we had the cheeseapoolza. it was amazing! they also have a great selection of micro beers at the best prices around! it is easy to order and everyone working there is pleasant and helpful. we liked it so much we went back two nights later! they play great music and it is a relaxed and fun atmosphere. definitely stop in if you are in the area!

good place overall. more so good for the convenience than actual quality though. they consistently havepizzadough that is far too thick and chewy. chewy to the point where it hurts the experience. otherwise its decent pie. their sandwiches are good too, i recommend their meatball sub. the wings are good, not crispy enough for my tastes, but they do try to make a good quality wing here. their salads are really big. don't get the caesar though; unfortunately their caesar dressing has no flavor at all. their brownies are really good though, try them. not the best at anything in food, but they are open late, have specials, decent beer selection & trivia night. staff is really friendly here too.

amazing!!!. i found this pizzeria by accident and fell in love. i am not from or live in atlanta. i was in town for a few days. i passed by this pizzeria a couple of times and since it was down the street from my hotel, i walked down. the service was amazing. everyone was smiling and in great moods. i asked a customer what he liked. he told me to try the davinci deluxe and i added banana peppers to it and was amazed to say the least. this is the bestpizzai have ever eaten in my life. i also tried the mild buffalo wings and they were really good, a bit on the hot side but still good. heated up the next day and it still taste fresh. i loved this place and will be going back again. fresh crust and ingredients! love it
