category: fun neighborhood midtown pizzeria. verdict: tasty pizza, laid back style, goodparking. davinci's, an otp pizzeria, has opened a location on west peachtree in midtown. it's a casual atmosphere. you order at the counter; they have a nice covered patio with a lot of seating. better yet, they have free parking, a plus in this neighborhood. i had a salad and a pizza. the house salad was pretty good, although the balsamic dressing was fairly bland. i ordered an individual pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, and red peppers. overall, i really enjoyed it; having it come out of the oven piping hot was certainly a factor. the crust was good, although it could be a little chewier to meet true nyc standards. the roasted red peppers made a great topping.

exceptionally great pizza/pasta and, most importantly, customer service. 5 stars.. my experiences here have been nothing short of exceptional. a month ago, i ordered online and had an issue after receiving my delivery; the manager went above and beyond to make it right. i feel that in atlanta, there are plenty of options as where to spend your money on pizza; when you find both great customer service and food, it's agoodidea to share this information. i recently ordered the soprano, chicken alfredo, and blondie brownie - super impressed with this place. 5 stars.

bad pizza, great salad and the worst customer service ever. update 3/8/15 2:30 p.m (midtown location). : i'd like to update my review. i will never eat at davinci's ever again! after the horrible experience i had placing my order, i opted to have a co-worker pick-up my side salad because i was already upset. when she arrived, she asked about my order and the price, and the manager then gave her a receipt, and stated "if there was an error, it was on her (i.e. the customer)." then the employee gave my coworker the salad without collecting payment and told her to "have agoodday." my coworker assumed that the meal was free due to all of the issues that i had been having.

this was not the case, the incompetent employee forgot to collect payment and came back to my job - saying "that we did not pay for the meal, and that if we didn't pay it would come out of his check." while i understand that there may have been a misunderstanding, at this point i was so frustrated i was ready to send the salad back because i didn't want to give them any money at all.

after speaking with the employee that came to get the money, i thought that he would tell me to keep the salad, and apologize for the poor customer service. he did not and said that he would take the salad back or we would have to pay. my coworker did not want to continue arguing with him, therefore she gave him $5 (yea i know right - all this! losing a repeat customer over $5).

just when i thought the ordeal was over, and that i would never have to deal with davinci's again, i received a call from one of their employees 30 minutes later asking me to remove my review on yelp and on google. no one called to apologize or offer me any type of voucher - or better yet my money back, they just wanted to make themselves look good! unbelievable! now there is no chance that i will ever become a customer again, i don't care howgoodtheir salads are. people beware! this is not a business that values service.

original review:

i usually don't write reviews, but i was so irate about the poor customer service, that i thought that it should be noted.

1. every time you call to place an order, you're put on a 10 minute hold
2. every time i order from da vinci's the price is always different - the price shouldn't be different
within a 24 hour period.
3. the pizza is not thatgoodto be honest, but i am a fan of the salads
4. awful customer service - they are unaware, untimely and are unappreciative of reoccurring customers .

i order a salad from davinci's every saturday and sunday, yet they have failed to improve their customer service. there are so many pizza places in midtown - there's no need to deal with one that does not appreciate your money. when you work hard for your money, don't just spend it at a mediocre business that doesn't value its customers, and where the management say's that "they're not sure what to tell you...it's not their problem."

review. davinci's is a cool place to go before or after visiting the high museum of art. it is located within walking distance of the high. the counter service was efficient and the speed in which the pizza was delivered was excellent. the pizza was a tasty thin crust. we ordered pepperoni and mushroom. the pepperoni was not very plentiful and the sauce was very sweet and appeared to be a mass produced sauce. regardless, the pie wasgoodand we would go again.

good place overall. more sogoodfor the convenience than actual quality though. they consistently have pizza dough that is far too thick and chewy. chewy to the point where it hurts the experience. otherwise its decent pie. their sandwiches aregoodtoo, i recommend their meatball sub. the wings are good, not crispy enough for my tastes, but they do try to make agoodquality wing here. their salads are really big. don't get the caesar though; unfortunately their caesar dressing has no flavor at all. their brownies are reallygoodthough, try them. not the best at anything in food, but they are open late, have specials, decent beer selection & trivia night. staff is really friendly here too.
