not worth the hype. i know that most eating establishments have off days so maybe we went in on one of them but i'm just not sold on this place.

theservicewas good - i believe david himself greeted us at the door.

the food was good but nothing special. i would compare their "supposed-legendary-pot stickers" to the kind you'd get at costco - the only difference is that they pan fry theirs in oil. i've had really good pot stickers and these were not it.

we tried items from their "chefs suggestions" on the menu and we were grossed out by their sesame beef! the meat was rare in the middle (which i know is not bad for beef) but it tasted like old, beef that was thawed on it's expiration date. i guess i didn't know what to expect when i ordered the dish but i wasn't expecting large, chunks of sauteed, hard, chewy meat drenched in sauce & sesame seeds over a bed of crunchy rice noodles. call me crazy but i've never had to use a knife when eating chinese food.

we sent it back and they replaced it quickly with walnut shrimp (which was pretty good) but if you ask me, take your money to sampan,the golden phoenix or little world. this place is a bit pricey for the same food you can get anywhere else...

horrible customer service. i went with a group for a birthday celebration. we waited for nearly two hours to get our food. finally after waiting for so long, and not having even ordered yet, a member of our party went to find the staff. we finally got our food. the food was good, but theservicewas awful the entire meal. the owner himself then tried to over bill my husband and myself. when we showed him the error politely, he was down right rude. i have never been treated more horribly in my life. david (owner) seems dishonest, judgemental, mean and disrespectful. it was a horrible dining experience.

totally different experience. i have eaten at davids kitchen several times now. i have never had any of the food problems that i have seen in previous reviews. i know that some of their younger servers are a bit on the rude side. i won't dispute that. but as far as their food andservicethe food has always been great! in saying that i have not had the dishes that were complained about. i have had their orange chicken, general tso chicken and the chicken in black bean sauce. non of it was rubbery, not of it was bland or tasted bad. with all of the pot stickers i have ate at different restaurants theirs are on top for me! i travel monthly around the slc area and i stop and get pot stickers to go for my family. we love them.

very good pot stickers, crazy service. whileservicelacks on the weekends, the food is pretty good. pot stickers are always good here. the serve a tasty, spicy hot and sour soup. the entrees they serve focus more on the savory side of american-chinese food, so you won't find much of the sticky sweet sauce here. all of the entrees we've tried so far were good, but nothing really stood out. so while it's not the best american-chinese in town, it's a good solid effort.
first time we went, we were scolded by our server the entire night for turning down their famous pot stickers. it was the weirdest thing. in fact,serviceon both occasions was on the insane side, watching our server sprint around the restaurant while our table was mostly ignored. both occassions were extremely busy saturday nights, but that's no excuse for poorservicereally. just hire more weekend help. it took forever to get drinks, soup, appetizers, refills, food.. everything really.
also, dinner prices are a touch on the high side, but lunch specials are priced very well. i'm on the fence with this one. i'd rate it a 3 out of 5 if i could.

rudeserviceand overpriced. while i find the food at davids to be good i cant justify paying their relatively high prices for dishes the can be found around town for less with the same or better quality. also if you decide to eat in and not order the pot stickers they act shocked and dismayed.
