top notch from start to finish. last night was my first visit to the "new" darryl's. i visited last about 20 years ago. we had a reservation for 6:30 on a friday night and it was extremely packed. we informed the hostess of our reservation and we immediately sat down, no waiting at all. appetizers ordered were french onion soup and potato skins, all were delicious and were served in a timely fashion to the table. our entrees were amazing, cooked to perfection. we ended our meal with a brownie and ice cream dessert. it hit the spot. our server was friendly, polite and beyond helpful. the gm visited our table to assure we had amazing service, he was pleased to hear we had an awesomedarryl'sexperience. we will return soon!

jane. we went todarryl'sin greensboro last night for my birthday. it was the neatest experience. the server, tiffany, was very nice and helpful and attentive. the food was very good from the comments of the folks we had there, our ribs were delicious. a young lady sang happy birthday to me in a unique way. it was an all around wonderful time.

the food atdarryl'swas great. aleeza was our waitress and she did a awesome job of taking care of us. ask for her if you ever visitdarryl'syou will have a great time!!!

darryl's wood fired grill. i am a big fan of darryl's! the food and atmosphere are fantastic! two of my favorite items are the salmon wrap and the grilled salmon. their burgers are also fantastic! the wait staff pays close attention to detail. i givedarryl'sa big thumbs up!!!

amazing!!! :d.darryl'shosted our dustin's greenhouse group's special dinner the other night and it was fantastic!!darryl'sserved us a delicious south african 5 course meal consisting of:
- peri peri shrimp as the appetizer
- chicken potjiekos for the soup course
- lamb sosaties for the 3rd course
- bobotie as the main course
- malva pudding for dessert
these food items are not on the original menu. i thank them greatly for researching and putting extra time and effort into preparing such a fabulous meal that wasn't even on the menu.

bright red curtains draped throughout the separate room we were in, decorated with old vintage movie poster that created a really nice and sophisticated atmosphere. it was a beautifully decorated room. the cleanliness of the restroom was not only impressive but there were also two t.v.'s which was a nice surprise.darryl'snot only have great food but also great service. lets just say i highly recommend darryl's!!! :d

excellent food and costumer service.darryl'sis amazing!!! last night we haddarryl'scater a special dinner event in one of their rooms. the staff and jeff made a perfect 5 course south african meal, which they dont sell in their menus, for the first time. their food was delicious and spot-on, as well as their great costumer service! the 5 course meals included a marinated peri peri shrimp, then chicken potjiekos soup with squash, sweet pot, chicken and dried fruits; after that lamb sosaties - marinated lamb skewered with vegetables and fruit; bobotie - a very traditional sa dish made with mince meat; finally a delicious malva pudding - a sweet cake made with a fruit jam and guava ice cream on the side. i have never tasted anything better than this! i truly enjoyed their food, great staff.darryl'sis a perfect place to gather a special group event and everyone should go and try out darryl's!!

we ate atdarryl'sin winston salem back in the late 70's & early 80's. they had the best beef ribs and salad bar. do you not have them anymore? would love to come again for the ribs.

back again!. we annualy make a trip down to martinsville for the october race and we stay at one of the hotels right behind darryl's. for the last two years we have madedarryl'sour "headquarter" bar and restaurant and we have never been dissappointed with our food, our service or our dining experience.
i am absolutely in love with the beef ribs, they just rock!
we love the beer list, featuring north carolina beers, and the wine list is superb.
looking forward to our trip back next year!

private room experience. i am a member of wine club and we had our november wine dinner for 42 people at darryl's. we brought our own wines(three red bordeaux, 1980's vintage and one 1983 german riesling).darryl'sprovided us with a private room, and we selected a 2006 white bordeaux fom their wine spectator recognized wine list. this wine was paired with some of the best scallops that i have ever had.darryl'sstaff opened and decanted our old wines and provided enough glasses for our comparative tastings.our red wines were paired with perfectly prepared and served osso bucco and a steak that was seared and cooked to perfection on a wood fired grill.it is one thing to prepare and serve a meal with 5 wines to four people but to serve it to 42 people was a 5 star experience.

darryl's version 2.0. so i finally got around to trying the newly re-openeddarryl'srestaurant. if you're like me, you have fond memories ofdarryl'sfrom the 1980s and 90s. during that time period, they were all over the place and i had positive experiences at several different locations. over time, they faded away until there was only one location left, in greensboro. this greensboro location has been revamped and revitalized and is better than ever. i love the outdoor firepits and lounge areas. the interior design is lots of fun, with all the great features you remember. the food was excellent, with a wide variety of different items. however, the real treat is the bar menu. the beer selection is truly heroic, unparalleled in the triad as far as i'm concerned. they have varied selection of beer, many of which i have never even heard of before and i consider myself somewhat of a beer snob. the prices are surprisingly fair as well. i especially liked the beer flight concept, which i had seen at bars before but never at a restaurant. overall,darryl'sis that rare restaurant that lives up to its past while still moving forward. i'm looking forward to going back again.

went todarryl'sfor the first time tonight. had a great experience. the service and the food was wonderful. i ordered the cajun shrimp with lobster tail and my meal was excellent. i especially liked the window shades with old movie posters on them, it brought back many memories.

i live very close by thedarryl'swood fried grill and eat there alot!! i think there waiter and waitresses are very nice and they have big selection of beer and food. i enjoy the atmosphere and the shape of the inside of the building and every where you turn their is something new to look at. great food and wonderful people!

good family restaurant. ribs and steaks were flavorful and prices are reasonable. server went out of his way to get bottle caps from the bartender when he learned our grandson collects them. glad we happened to finddarryl'son google maps for iphone!

my first dining experience atdarryl'swas great! my entire family enjoyed their meals & the customer service was amazing. i will definitely be going back!
