this quaint restaurant is a rare find. the food is wonderful. if you want authentic food from south american, then this is the place for you. the pictures are what you can expect! they also do a meal of the week from a different country every friday. the service is the best we've experienced in town.

i’m going to be honest, i thought the food was good but not as amazing as people have made it to be. i was honestly expecting the food to be mind-blowing, but i was disappointed.

i ordered the paella (highly recommended in many reviews) - clams, mussels, chicken, whole shrimp, rice and veggies. the seasoning was pretty good, but the seafood was a bit over cooked, which gave the impression that the food was just reheated and dry.

the salad appetizer was really sweet, which i didn’t realize they were going for until i found a piece of fruit (mango, i think). the portions were a little smaller than i expected, especially for the price ($26 without tip).

other than those complaints, the owners were sweet and the atmosphere was nice. i probably won’t go back, but it’s at least worth a try (3.5 overall rating)

i was in montgomery for business and a local colleague of mine suggested this place.  the food and service were awesome.  the owner was very sweet and gracious.  please come open one in biloxi, ms!!!!

i almost ate here. i changed my mind when i stood at the counter and noticed the roach crawling out from under the counter. surely, they've gotten rid of those by now.

the food here is cooked by a little venezuelan grandmother. it's always good and she is very generous with portions. we love going here. it's small but wonderful.

if i had just been hit by a truck, and i was laying out in the road dying and god told me i could have one more meal before i died if would come from this restaurant. i've never once ordered, i come in and tell her to fix me something good to eat and janet never disappoints. enter as stangers, leave as friends!

this is my "go to" restaurant! food is amazing! service is amazing! meals are always flavorful and prepared using high quality ingredients and prepared in a healthy way. the owner janet is lively and makes all customers feel like appreciated guests. i feel like i'm at home being fed by my mom when i come here! love this place!!

delicious. i recommend this restaurant because it offers delicious food and it is very hospitable. janet the owner makes you feel like you are home. she is such a nice lady. it is a small place, but the food is excellent and very healthy.

sick of monopoly restaurants? take a chance, do not pass go and head directly to janet's paella prison at d'road. shell out a few clams and surrender to the community chest full of multitudinous muscles, savory shrimp and copious amounts of chicken. whether you pick the car, the horse, or the shoe ... roll the dice and go.

best burger in montgomery!. every thing i try here is delicious. from smoothies, arepas, empanadas, to ultimately their burgers it has all been wonderful. and to top it all off miss janet the owner is super sweet and will make anything you ask. love this place.

talk about delicious. and enough for two meals! i had the pleasure of sharing this meal with a dear friend of mine. she got the “coconut chicken.” breaded/seared chicken atop rice served with a coconut/honey glaze, mushrooms, and green beans. so sweet and savory…all in one! awesome food. after hearing about d'road cafe for some time, i finally took the plunge. we went this past friday and found out fridays are "international night," where the owner cooks cuisine from a particular country. the night we went was indian. having lived in new york for a number of years, i've experienced the cuisine so we were excited. the food was awesome: curried lamb, tandoori chicken, samosas to die for...all the fixings. can't wait to go back and eat again. the owner is super nice and friendly...it's like you stopped her house and she sat you down in the kitchen for a home cooked meal.
