the best. i can barely express how much i love curryville. we always order butter chicken and lamb sagwala with garlic and cheese naan. i could literally drink the sauce. i have had a few of the entrees too and they are just delicious. they are always extremely busy, so this needs to be planned for. we always order take-away and live about 20 mins away, so order before we leave home. despite being so busy, the staff are always friendly and pleasant. it's the best indian food i have ever tasted, and i will never again eat indian elsewhere. my only (small) critique is that we are not a fan of the style of rice - and i always picked out the peas!

the best indian in brisbane. i have been here many times and always leave amazed at how consistently amazing the food is.

all curries are made from scratch. frozen reheated samosas seem to be the norm at most indian restaurants but here even the pastry is made in the kitchen.

if anyone is put off by the quirky way the menu is written please do not! the humor just adds to how great this place is.

best to book as always full no matter what day of the week.

lamb sagwala. simply awesome. flavour, big cubes of lamb that melt in your mouth, loads of curry... what more can i say. been going here ever since they started and it has only improved.

best indian ever. i have eaten at many different restaurants through out my life and this is by far the best. being raised as an australian girl who spent her childhood holidays and after schools at an indian lady's i lived off curries and i spent allot of time searching for great curries and found it here. the staff are always friendly and it is definitely worth the wait. plus the chicken is always the breast which is my favorite. if you love spicy like me give the chicken hai hai a go, it never disappoints

definitely an experience worth trying!!!!

waiting, so much waiting... feel like a curry? got a spare two hours? that's how long it took us to get our dinner on sunday. we called up a little after 5.00pm and were told the wait was 45 minutes. we turned up a little after 6.00pm and had to wait 40 minutes to get our food. then, after walking home, we were tickled pink to find we'd been given the completely wrong order. thirty minutes later and we had three oily curries and some decent naan bread. the flavours were pretty nice, but the complete incompetence that tainted the experience left a bad taste in our mouths.

very disappointing. went there on friday night with couple of mates, the restaurant seemed to be busy and overbooked. we had to wait for an hour for our meal to arrive. we ordered three different curries, but the all tasted the same. there was excessive oil on top the currie and all you could taste was uncooked spices. me and my mates love indian food but this experience has been one my worst. the staff at the counter did not seem to be concerned about the customers already present as they were focused taking new orders, despite the fact present customers were waiting to be served.
very bad experience overall and we never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

well done on your 90 % phew !!!. well deserved friendly and just a great little spot .
and yes the lamb sagwala is to die for .
would like to see the naan bead a little less dry , or with more moist filling , but no big deal .
love the iron serving pots ...
puts the others to shame

it's a wednesday night and all is full inside so mr fh and i sat outside next to the heater.
wonderful food and good service.
this is not your same old curry it's innovative and fresh. unfortunately we were so hungry i didn't take pics of the amazing mushrooms with yummy homemade dip. i could of taken some of those precious yummy morsels home.
as it is mr fh said were coming back soon as there are dishes i want to try.....

pss - don't forget to read the menu front to back it's a humorous little ditty that made us both smile. now that is smart cooking at it's best .....

absolutely fantastic. i co.... absolutely fantastic.
i come from ireland but have travelled a bit and lived in america for a while. i love indian food and i've probably eaten it in about 10 different countries and this is by far the nicest place i've been to. me and my girlfriend are living in brisbane about 3 years now, i see it has a couple of bad reviews here and wanted to give my opinion on it. we would go to curryville about every month, we've tried nearly everything on the menu.
for starters we go for chicken or vegetable chaat the flavours are unreal, every bite leaves you wanting more. we sampled a few others but none compare to the taste explosion you get from the chaat.
as for mains its a lot harder to pick a favorite chicken balti, chicken karahi and lamb sagwalla are probably top for my taste. thats not to say there any better than the rest just what i prefer. you cant really go wrong with any.
as for the naan usually go garlic and have to say its pretty damn good. i would have a big appetite and we share a starter, main and naan and leave stuffed. so less than 50 bucks for the 2 of us. not many places around where you can get that sort of value.
for people who write bad reviews for the curry being to hot. they offer every curry mild, medium or hot you choose when ordering so you can't really complain. as for long wait times on take outs, that just shows how popular it is. try sitting in and watch how many take away orders go out while your there i'm surprised they can cope in such a small place..
overall this place is fantastic and excellent value. look forward to heading back soon.

service so poor, you'd better order your meal the day before. this place ranks a solid '0' for service. if it was located in melbourne or sydney, it would not have lasted for more than a month - seriously!

worst indian restaurant in australia. we were promised a half our wait on our take away. it ended up taking a good 65 minutes. their naan was as rubbery as my caterpillar boots and staff so rude and unapologetic as a funeral parlour. give sitars or get it india a try and you will know what good indian curry taste like. their portioning at $17 a curry were strictly meant for a niche market - anorexics. we oedered 4 curries for 4 adults and were left feeling hungry. overall, bad service, small portioning and average tasting curries. i'll be kind and give this place a 2/10.
