curryville indian restaurant

firstly, this is the best curry i have had since i lived in london! i generally avoid indian restaurants, as i'm usually left disappointed. this was a breath of fresh air we were lucky enough to stumble upon...... and luckily, it's local!! the food is fresh, the flavours and spices are delicious. secondly, the service is absolutely wonderful! the staff and owners obviously take great pride in their food and their restaurant. we had small kids with us who aren't used to the 'spiciness' of the food. the owner took the time to check if they were ok and brought out a small bowl of less-spicy/more sweet curry sauce for them to try and get their taste buds adjusted to. very nice of them.....it worked!! best find in ages......loved reading the funny menu also :) thanks for a great night! we'll be back with friends!!

your kidding.. 1 hour 20 mins for a takeaway of 2 curries! and they day that is ok. .. refused to offer anything when approached about how ridiculous the wait is. dissapointing.

great tasty and wholesome. really good curry with good quality ingredients and whole spices! much better than your average suburban indian takeaway, and one of our top places to go in brisbane for indian. definitely top five!

love at first bite!. hands down the single most amazing curry restaurant i've ever had the pleasure of eating from. i have a very particular and fussy taste when it comes to curry and i cannot go past curryville! occasionally i've heard people say there is too much oil - hell, that's what your naan is there for - soak it all up! it is delicious!
currently a weekly regular with them! love it and can't get enough!!!

filthy!!!!!!!. this was only our second time at the restaurant, and me and my partner have been totally turned off. the first time our curries were okay but there was way too much oil, and we thought it could be a one off thing. we decided to give the restaurant a second try because we heard that they usually do great curries, but what we saw was horrific. the fan pictured below is clearly visible to all customers upon entering the restaurant, and its disgusting to see it in such a filthy condition. the amount of dust and grime on it is shocking. i cant believe that no one has noticed this before or are people turning a blind eye!! they are clearly flouting the food, health and safety regulations and its a surprise that no one from the authorities has come across this!!! me and my partner are certainly not going back and i hope this comes to the attention of the relevant authorities.

not great.. we have ordered take away a few times and it has been pretty disappointing. curries are ok (nothing to rave about), but starters are always stone cold. my bhajis actually tasted like they had been in the fridge. we gave it a third try and they mixed up our order. won't be returning.

everything lovely, but use way too much oil :(. went for the first time last night, love & truly appreciate the whole healthy approach with using no sugar & very low salt. but, my curry contained way too much oil. it was absolutely soaking. i love indian food & have been to very many different indian restaurants before, but never have i been to one that uses so much oil in their curry. if you want to go with the healthy approach, you can't just use oil to make up for the sugar & salt you've cut out. totally unnecessary. i swear it had like 1/2 cup oil in my one serving. amazing, because everything else was perfect.. the bhaji chaat was stunning & the naan was so authentic. i hope you take notice of this feedback, because i really like your take on indian & you really are a unique restaurant. just that one detail that needs working on - it will be worth it.

proper curry - the way it's meant to be. having returned home from 15 years in the uk, i've been constantly disappointed by what i've come across here. yes there are some good indian restaurants that do it well dotted around, however there are so many that just serve up sweet goop that does not have any place calling itself curry. i came across curryville and am really impressed. i thought the proper balt houses in the uk was as distant memory of my travels, however these guys do it brilliantly. give them a go - i had it on the weekend and i would travel far and wide to go back. miss india is dead to me.

unclean restuarant. this restuarant does do a great curry, definitely one of best around brisbane however i have been turned off this place from the uncleanliness of restuarant.there is a fan blowing into kitchen which is absolutely disgusting it is so thick in dust and grime, with large chunks of filth coming off it!it's first thing you see when you walk into restuarant.place definitely needs a good clean,if they are not bothered about cleanliness of restuarant who knows what kitchen is like that you can't see!!also a long wait for takeaway they give you 30-40 minute wait but never ready on time and never apogise, staff and owner very unfriendly!!

went to curryville for first time tonight and loved the food!we are from ireland and find that the standard of indian food here in brisbane is not good.this place is just what we were looking for!good quality meat, and very fresh ( use chicken breast in all curries).will definitely be going back.only bad thing i will say is when collecting take away, looked into kitchen and the floor was absolutely filthy.food all over floor, tandoori chicken everywhere on ground!!this worried me a little.however i do know it is busy and a lot of people working in small confined space but somebody should really clean the floor it looks awful when customers can see in.

ridiculously famous for nothing!!!. worst experience ever!!!! completely ruined our friday night takeaway...we were given an hour's waiting time on our curries...ended up waiting for more than 2 hours..we ordered 4 different curries and despite them being different meat curries with different bases, they all tasted the same. there was excessive oil floating over the curries and you could taste uncooked spices. one of my mates who works with asian cuisine and is an expert, also suspected the use of msg in the meat curries. i was told this is the best place in brisbane for indian food...well it certainly is not... there are way better places who serve good food with excellent customer service. and yes the owner doesn't seem to take negative criticism too well..my comments about the poor quality of food were deleted from the restaurant's facebook page this arvo!! seriously an over-hyped place with an owner too proud of the crap that they serve!!!

the food is fantastic here. there's the usual favourites but they taste much nicer than you'll eat anywhere else. there are a few dishes here that we haven't eaten anywhere else and they are fantastic, especially the tava chicken & coconut prawns. the bhaji is fresh, yum and non-greasy. great food, take the time to read the whole menu - besides great food and it's very entertaining!

best indian food in brisbane. wonderful food, excellent service, everything was freshly made with great care and served with distinction.

my personal favourite was the coconut prawns.

highly recommended.

wow! finally! after a long unsuccessful hunt for decent indian food in brisbane, curryville emerges! hands down the best curry i've had in bris. after trying the so called top contenders i was left terribly disappointed. however after having the goat curry with garlic cheese naan from curryville the hunt is now over. the curry is good enough to please even the most discerning critics (even you spoilt guys hailing from the uk). do yourselves a favour and try curryville. it was worth the trip from the north side for take away!!!

yuuuummm!!. discovered this indian a few months ago and is hands down the best i've tasted in brisbane. great taste, quick service and reasonably priced, love it.

the best indian restaurant we have ever been to. this restaurant has become our family favourite. everything about this place is great. the food is amazing! it is fresh, not loaded with sugar and salt and different. the way the menu is written is so entertaining and unique. each dish has a very conversational description and the dishes aren't the standard indian that you get at every other restaurant. book early as the restaurant isn't very big and fills up quickly.
