cuiscene - fairmont bab al bahr

we went for a brunch at cuiscene and while id like to say it was up there with the best it fell short. the buffet spread was great, very nicesushiand great raw bar. the stations were varied and had a good reflection of all the resto's at the fairmont. the steaks and lamb chops cooked to order at the marco pierre white stand were great too. where it lacks are a fairly limited choice of beers (just 2) and no spirits (just a single cocktail of the day), house red and white and some crazy while watermelons full of vodka... this led to a rather disastrous mistake on my behalf where a friend ordered a bloody mary (i mean come on... it's brunch) lo and behold along come a massive bill for 63dhs! i've had some pretty amazing bloody mary's in my time but even the best wouldn't command a 63dhs price... anyways no warning on the cost of drink before ordering so it made for a rather sour note on brunch... the food and service were good (not great) and the ninja skills of delivering a bill for the bloody mary without notice... i may head back... one day... maybe.

what a terrific display of food ! truly one of the best buffets i have ever come across with cuisines from all over the world being the arabic indian european and asian ! to start with the hot mezzeh and the soups , two different soups were available one being the egg flour soup and other being the seafood ! i opted for the egg flour and truly loved it and not to forget the exquisite fatoush ! there was a wide variety ofsushiplaced at the seafood counter with roasted calamari and mussels, the best being the fish cake !
then moving on the wide range of main courses , they were extremely upto the mark with hell lot of diversified dishes at every single counter ! my favorite being the grilled chicken from the indian live counter !
coming to dessert over which i am still drooling ! there were wide array of mousses and desserts in this corner as well indeed satisfying ur sweet tooth out of which my favourite was the hot chocalate fudge , the panna cotta, the kunafa and the yummiest nutella crepe prepared right in front of my eyes !!
this is one of the finest place for fine dining with extremely amazing and assorted dishes and truly is a must visit !

the grill section had so much to choose from that one can simple enjoy meal to heart .
last but not the least desserts ..... you wont regret any 🍫

we usually come to cuiscene at least twice a year, last time we dined here was in march 2018 and we did not like it at all. tonight we used groupon voucher and came for old times sake and were very surprised at how much better it was!. staff were so friendly,sushibuffet was amazing (cold prawns were so flavorful), cheese spread was really good and had so many types of fruit (although it was missing some honey), it was a bbq night and there were so many options to choose from. even the dessert section had more options than last year. the manager and staff were very attentive and cared about each individual’s experience! we can honestly say that it is back up on the list as a family favorite and i highly recommend giving cuiscene a visit.

one of the best places i've been to. went for the christmas brunch and woow i couldn't even get to taste everything. the food was great. a lovely selection fromsushito oysters to foie gras. the standard is great.i recommend i recommend

cuiscene has the best seafood buffet in abu dhabi! we always love dining here on thursdays. the ambience is dimly lit and cozy. i love the oysters! they’re very fresh and tasty. the king crab legs and the mussels are to die for. the colorfulsushiare appetizing. even if you are not a seafood lover, you can still choose from a wide variety of continental foods like dumplings, duck, steak, curry, etc. desserts are pretty decent. some staff are not very friendly but mostly are helpful and polite. the price is not cheap but it’s just right for the spread and quality of food.

we have called for reservation, and i mentioned to the lady that this is our wedding anniversary.
we went there, our table was near the glass as i requested but we found that two ladies are sitting in the next table and talking loud, so we asked to be moved, the waiter took us to a very nice table with great ambiance.
the decoration is very elegant.
the food was very good, we liked thesushithe most.
later on, one lady came to our table carrying a plate with three kinds of sweets, and happy anniversary was written on the plate, it was very kind of them.
overall we had a very nice anniversary at cuiscene, recommended.

i'm giving this place a rating of 1 because this is the lowest i can give. we chose this place because of the high rating. as any buffet restaurant in a good hotel, the decor and ambiance were great, but we came here for the food and we were really looking forward to it as we were super hungry. the food was disappointing to say the least. thesushistation was laughable as there were no sashimi or nigiri. the makis that were actually there was horrible with the rice being chewy and the filling being mainly veggies and pickles.
the rest of the spread were equally disappointing. i would not recommend this place. please spend your hard earned money elsewhere as this place costs a whooping 220 aed per person for dinner, beverage not included.

seafood buffet every thursday
we had our monthsary last thursday, since we are a seafood lover we decided to try cuiscene at fairmont bab al bahr.

the food selection was impressive and there’s a wide variety of seafood from oyster, lobster, crabs, shrimp and squid, you choose either grilled, fried or fresh. thesushistation was very nice and well there’s an asian food as well from nasi goreng, satay and tom yum soup. and there’s an arabic and indian selection as well. it’s worth your money.

price is 235 aed plus taxes. drinks not included.

i have been there for ramadan  iftar using an entertainer voucher and it was a good experience and my rating is as following : 

1- variety 5/5 - a lot of options for all tastes , there was a bigsushibar & lot of juices included in the buffet .

2- organization 5/5 - the place is huge & buffet was organized in a way that you can reach any food any time with no problem specially that usually in ramadan iftar buffet is crowded but it was not in this restaurant .

3- food taste 3.5 - all food taste is very much acceptable but not super

cuiscene is one of the best international restaurant in abudhabi. distinguished with a big variety of tasty food.
buffet or a la carte, food is made & served with love. roasted chicken,sushi& japanese, also the big range of dishes & salads is recommended.

ive been there many times and will always be from the top options when wanting to go for buffets. the variety of food is just right and theirsushistation is just perfect which you cannot find other restaurants serving same variety ofsushiin a buffet. we love the ambience its a live place. always enjoy food there!

our team had iftar here, the place where food was served was a bit crowded. however the food was sumptous, the salads andsushibar was awesome. desserts were in variety. i feel they should make the buffet a bit spacious..i had good time here.

main course - 0/1 - cold roast beef and cold grilled prawns.

dessert - 0.25/1 - cold gulab jamun.

service - 0.5/1 - no fresh juice available in the restaurant at all on a day they serve brunch!!! our host jit managed to get a really package like tasting "fresh" pineapple juice which he said took a lot of effort to arrange. plates did not get cleared from our tables while we went for a second serving.

i ordered shrimps from there and some white rice i cant remember the exact name of the dish. i loved the shrimp and the sauce. with the white rice it was great. my friends ordered somesushithe loved it but i really cant till if it was good or not because they love everysushithey eat. the french fries was good as all other restaurants
