top of the line place. very energetic and fun. service was great, ask for jonathan. i had the spaghettini and my wife had the rabbit ravioli and we loved it. the wine list wasexcellentand the prices were fair. good for foodies and wine snobs. go there, you will not be disappointed. dh

yum! went for our anniversary and it was superb. ordered my favorite squash blossoms and tried the mussels with chorizo. we could have ordered five of each; they were delicious. we even ordered extra bread for the perfectly seasoned broth with spanish chorizo. for entree we split the pork chop. it reminded me of pork chops from the shops in iowa, big, juicy and cooked to perfection. for dessert we had a light fig pastry with a creamy frozen topping. it was just right. the wait staff wereexcellentand guided us through our dinner and wine selections. they answered our questions and were attentive and remembered it was a very special night for us. i can't wait to return.

we thoroughly enjoyed our girls night out at cucuma. our waitress was helpful and made yummy suggestions. we loved the squash flowers, spareribs pasta dish, and the strawberry dessert. oh the sicilian iced tea was awesome too. get reservations, it was packed.

the best. we love cucina urbana! the food is excellent, the wine and cocktails are superb and the desserts are fantastic. hats off to chef mike ground and hisexcellentstaff. we give cucina urbana 10 stars!

a real good one!. did a lot of research planning our dining experiences in san diego and this one kept coming up. boy were the positive posters right on the $$. what a great place. unique menu, great atmosphere,excellentservice and very fair wine prices, if that's a dining priority for you.

one of the most interestingly designed places we've been to in a long time. lots of young professionals..the place was rocking on a monday night. the food was just terrific and i highly recommend this place if you are visiting this great city.

cucina urbana is anexcellentcalifornia inspired italian kitchen and wine shop on laurel right next to balboa park. the salads and pastas here are especially tasty.

get there early!. the remodel of laurel has been such a huge success for tracy. cucina urbana has beenexcellenteverytime we happen to be able to dine there. reservations are difficult, but there is plenty of communal seating. the burrata appetizer is the best i have ever had. i always want to try different things on the menu but keep going back for it. pizza, pastas and the beet salad are also my favorites along with the chocolate dessert.

all i can say is wooooooowexcellentfood and ambiance ...... i know my way arround the best restaurants around the world and let me tell this one isexcellenttop of the knotch food... andplease try the truffle fries with homemade ketchup damn their to die for and the pizza very good also i recommend the pinot noir by mery edwardsexcellentwine pairs great with the food

amazingly good. graffiti on the wall, old movie posters covered another, and warehouse fixtures brings an interesting young, hip, ad retro feel to the place. it's restaurant week in san diego. the food they serve was beyond good - it was, for me, a culinary adventure. we had the aquazul and abbondio for our drinks. the burnt brussel sprouts with housemade hot sauce had a nice crispy, burnt, chewy texture. both the roasted baby beets/pink grapefruit salad, and dulcinea watermelon salad where nice and refreshing. the fig and gorgonzola pizza had a nice balance of flavors on a thin crust. the foraged mushroom corzetti is to die for - very creamy but very rich. we finished off dinner with the bittersweet chocolate budino and salted caramel apple crisp with mascarpone gelato. heaven! i have to come back here. our service wasexcellenttoo; he had great suggestions so we enjoyed all our orders.
