c's waffles

visit today disappointing. we have been going to c's for the past two years and love it although recently our visits have been disappointing. today we went in about 9:30am sunday pretty full but not totally. got our seat and waited for our waitress. after approx. 10 min i asked who our waitress was and the young girl said like me get her. after a couple more minutes she came and we placed our order. order took longer than normal and once it arrived the eggs and grits were warm at best. asked for the grits to be heated and they came back a little warmer although not enough to melt the butter. seems they had some new waitresses although ours wasn't new. guess its time we look for a new place. it was a good run maybe the new port orange/daytona store has taken away from the original nsb restaurant.

c waffles nsb. we have been eating at c's for the past two years (avg once month) and love it although we have begun to see the restaurant deteriorate inserviceand quality. today we were there and ourservicewas very slow and our food was luke warm at best. it appeared the waitresses were somewhat confused with who was assigned to what tables. hate to go somewhere else but based on last two visits with poorservicewill change. all this likely has to do with opening their new store in port orange/daytona and the owner is not there as much.

wow. great breakfast. first of all theservicewas great. we were seated right away and every step of the way we never had to wait for our waitress or flag her down. our coffee cups were always kept full. we were here at 9am on a tuesday and it was nearly full but they had 5 waitresses on to cover about 20 tables (i.e well staffed). despite the name of the place being waffles, we went with other breakfast items. i went with the eggs benedict and they were fantastic. eggs were perfectly poached and the hash browns were perfectly cooked. wife went with corned beef hash and that was also cooked perfectly the way she likes it. portions were perfect. don't get me wrong, i'm not saying the food is the best you'll ever have but it is way better than most places. i've eaten in some well reviewed restaurants in nyc and this place would be right up there at least in terms of breakfast.

they have some outdoor seating too if you'd like a bit quieter setting or would like the fresh air with your breakfast.

the decor is very nice - not at all what i expected. (i expected typical old decor like you get at your local diner) modern yet cozy.

all in all this is a great place for a great breakfast. would definitely recommend and visit again.

by the way if you are a pittsburgh fan you'll feel at home with some sprinkles of steelers and pens stuff around the kitchen. (i'm a bills fan though)

disappointed. we were disappointed in this restaurant,the food was not bad. though theserviceand the ambiance were quite poor. i would not go back to this facility and would not recommend.

my family and i love c's waffles! the food is spectacular and reasonably priced. theserviceis amazing, as well.

just really good food. rode the bikes over the causeway on a beautiful monday in july. arrived around 12:30pm,hoping they served breakfast all day. score! i got one of their messes...a pile of hashbrowns with 2 eeggs on top with sausage and gravy. yummo! my friend had a combo of scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, toast & hashbrowns. all perfectly cooked. many other great items on the menu.servicewas excellent and prices were great. this will be a frequent flyer.
