extremely poor service by management! having astaffmember aggressively approach me and my guest while trying to express our dissatisfaction with our time at this venue.
not only did we ask to speak to management but manger by the name of nathan completely brushed off our concerns and did not help resolve the issue or reprimand thestaffmember who was aggressive towards us when trying to make a complaint. noting that our group had spent more than $1k in drinks within a couple of hours which seemed to have no impact on the staffs response to us.
will never book a corporate function at this venue again.

thestaffis racist and they are rude and uncouth. they are liars. couldn't handle the stress of new year's and threw me and my boyfriend out because they saw our passports and we were indians. what was our crime ? just that i had taken my shoes off. they threw me out because i had taken my shoes off. i had had only one drink. the manager was a horrible person who did not know how to speak to his customers. i spent $150 here and this is what they did. i would never recommend such a shitty racist place to anyone who's not an australian.

unbeatable view for anyone visiting.staffwas friendly and excited about the cocktails and food. found the second floor, junk lounge to be a hidden gem.

this place rocks, on a bright sunny day, in the courtyard, cold beer in hand, with awesome live music.staffare super friendly, and helpful. and junk lounge, on the second level, has a killer cocktail list with amazing food to match!

it's really hard to review this place. it has spectacular views and restaurant decor, and we had a seafood platter which was awesome and good value for money. in saying that, i don't think anyone from the bar or waitstaffwanted to be there and it was very clear. with comments such as "are you guys waiting for food or something" and quite a bit of attitude we were a little surprised and amused at the same time. given what the service was like and the wait time for food, it was no surprise that on a week night at 8pm in the city there were about 8 people in the place. we can't fault the food however - the seafood platter was demolished very quickly!!

junk lounge. sink experience like no other. shut down due to the chef likes his salt. we took the time to ring and make a reservation the night before but when we turned up there was security on the door and a private party in the dining room. after asking around we found out that there was a private party (an engagement) that had been booked for a long time occurring upstairs. we're still not sure why our booking was accepted. perhaps it's astaffcommunication issue?

came here for a quick drink and ended up staying for dinner and returning again the next night for drinks.staffwere very friendly, the atmosphere was excellent, with plenty of areas to eat and drink. both meals and drinks were pretty cheap in comparison to other places in the area, but were still great quality. an amazing view of the opera house made the experience even better. would definitely recommend this place.

ignored the reviews.... we took the time this weekend to review urbanspoon for our stay in the rocks. we wanted something with a pure 'tourist' friendly view as melbournians just visiting for the weekend. cruise offered a great view but a more laid back price list. we took the time to ring and make a reservation the night before but when we turned up there was security on the door and a private party in the dining room. after asking around we found out that there was a private party (an engagement) that had been booked for a long time occurring upstairs. we're still not sure why our booking was accepted. perhaps it's astaffcommunication issue?
we had a lovely dinner just around the corner which offered a lovely vantage point to boot; wolfies.
