the veg edge in coimbatore.
one of the restaurants in coimbatore where vegetarians can make it for lunch/dinner.
excellent ambience and decor. therestaurantcould accomodate around 100 or more people and had good seating.
i wasnt satisfied with the service. the waiter who served us was pretty good but the rest of them were standing there staring and commenting about us which was a bit awkward. most of all, there weren't any tissues on the table. i would suggest they place tissues on every table rather than on a common table. i had to walk to get a tissue from a desk and guess what one of the waiters who watched me doing that, removed the tissues from there and put them in a cupboard and locked it. weird behaviour.
coming to the food part,
huge menu. very difficult to choose from.
they have everything from sandwiches to starters to sizzlers to main course and desserts.
i've heard about their famous channa batura from my friends in chennai.
my friend ordered batura and a paneer channa curry.
i ordered the set menu i.e. for 299/- they provide a soup, starter, chaat, batura, channa, gravy, biriyani, raitha, roasted papad, pepsi, dessert.
spring vegetable soup - well cooked with carrot, beans, cabbage.
onion rings - wasn't one of my favorites. but okish. onion lovers would definitely love it.
delhi papdi chaat- not the best they could provide but pretty okish. i'm sure they could make better.
bhatura- huge. it was very tasty and went well with the channa they gave me as well as the channa paneer my friend had ordered.
channa masala- well cooked chole/channa in thick gravy/curry with apt spices and seasoning.
paneer channa masala- paneer was very different. very soft and wasnt the usual paneer cubes from other restaurants. paneer was in irregular and scrapings-like. the curry in all was delicious.
gobi manjurian- quite good but have had much better gobi manjurian several times at several places. the manjurian flavourin has to be improved.
cream centre biriyani- delicious and yummy. one of the signature dishes. perfect spicing and unique taste.
gulab jamun - who doesnt love jamun.. jamun in hot jeera was a great finisher for the meal.
i gotta say,
the food i ordered cost only 300 including tax.
but my friend who ordered just a batura 82/-and paneer channa curry 188/- had to pay more than me (incl of taxes).
this is quite ridiculous.
212 /- is too much for a sandwich dont u think?
nothing except the set menu is worth the price.

its one of the best vegetarianrestaurantin coimbatore. a bit on the expensive side but the food here is worth it. i have visited the place many times but during my recent visits the taste was not upto the mark of previous visits. i have tried tandoori paneer shaslik sizzler, italian baked sizzler and bambaiya pav bhaji sizzler, paneer peshawari which is out of the world , cheese balls , italian herb chilli cheese toast , tandoori subz wantons ,alfredo pasta , cheesy nachos and cream centre veg biryani , sizzling brownie and triple chocolate sundae during our various visits and i must say cheese balls ,paneer peshawari and the sizzlers and sizzling brownie are a must try.

one of the best vegrestaurantin coimbatore... their soups and starter taste are exceptional...
even raitha, chutney, and achari sides taste too good..

when you go dont miss their trademark creamcentre special briyani..

sorry, mentioned that therestaurantsent cutlery but it didn't. quantity was a little low but loved the taste!!

i would say the best vegrestaurantin coimbatore , with some lip smacking , mouth watering menu !! seriously the food was insanely awesome !! i enjoyed my dinner with friends !! great starters to start with and some delicious delicacies to move on further !!

the only draw back that comes to my mind is the service time !! good ambience, great food - u cannot ask for more !! as the name suggests it has got the "the veg edge" over other restaurants!!

it’s an expensive and veggierestaurant. pasta and nachos are delicious. must try sizzling brownie and triple chocolate.

one of the best vegetarian restaurants in coimbatore. almost everything on their menu is yumm. i've had their sizzlers, pasta, nachos and their mojitos and they were all delicious. the decors are pretty too. i however didn't like their thin crust pizza though many of my friends liked it. bottomline, an amazingrestaurantfor vegetarians and the quality and quantity is all perfect.

they have a wide range of menu .the first time i visited i was really surprised my the food it was very pleasing and therestaurantmust be known for it's sizzler as they were bomb absolutely.so when a paid my thrice visit i found some flavours missing in the mexican sizzlers it could have been improved.

probably the worst managedrestauranti’ve ever been to so far, spoilt the celebration mood we had for the evening.
although we had made a reservation well ahead, therestaurantwas not ready to sit us down almost 30 minutes after the reservation time. we had even arrived 5 minutes earlier than the actual reservation.
we then decided to leave and go to a differentrestaurantbecause the senior citizens and diabetics could not be kept standing any further. there’s only one 3 seater couch as a waiting area.

therestaurantshould either say they don’t take reservations (only walk-in) or if they do take reservations, they will have to stick to the word. this careless and unprofessional attitude cannot be tolerated in this time and age.

we had dinner on sunday , to start withrestaurantwas heavily crowded and management does not take prior reservation so had to wait for 15 minutes to get a table.

we ordered tomato and veg spring soup, both were mild and was good. then as a starter we ordered italian herbs bread which they used a normal bread which was disappointing and taste were not so yummy.

then i had ordered a chinese sizzlers , which served only noodles and 2 sauces with broccoli beans, carrot and baby corn, all vegetables were neatly mashed and all vegetables were so fresh and had a great feel of eating, the smoke of sizzlers and its sound is pure treat.
my in-laws ordered chappathi and panner gravy battura, battura with panner was different served with small onions ,pickles and lemon.

my wife and kid went for pizzas, which was so thin even less than thin crest, it looked like a puppet with gratings of veggies.

the choice of pizza was good we ordered half to half so u can get full circle with 2 flavours. still the look of papad spoiled the feel of pizzas

then comes the complimentary ice tea for sizzlers and ordered a brownie sundae. it was just treat to my family members every body thoroughly enjoyed.

not much big ambience but a decent one.

the best part of thisrestaurantall food were mild.

service needs more attention

it's a great outlet for veg lovers. since that has been said over and over by others i ll add something extra. the staff were extremely friendly and they have wide range of varieties. not just potato and cheese but you can actually expect quite a range of delicacies to treat your taste buds. and therestaurantis pricy but not too much. the more than enough servings are worth the price.

i actually cant say that thisrestaurantis really good or it is bad , cause one dish was good and one was bad , the onion rings had no salt , but the sizzling brownie was so delicious. the nachos was really good . the biriyani was not at all good !!

super expensive but the taste is extraordinary.
we had american corn cheese balls,onion rings,nachos with mexican beans,italian baked sizzler,their classic sizzling chilli paneer,sizzling brownie fondae and their chocolate fundae.the taste of each and every dish was very unique and exciting!

nachos with mexican beans-the nachos were perfect with the right amount of cheese and beans.

onion rings-bit greasy,the taste was good but nothing extraordinary.

sizzling chilli paneer-served with extremely soft paneer,this dish is a must try!the paneer just melts in your mouth!

italian baked sizzler-the flavours are more of indo-italian.combination of parmesan baby potatoes,spaghetti and macaroni in flavoursome sauces.a big thumbs up!

chocolate fondae and sizzling brownie-ah!must try desserts to suffice your chocolate cravings!

suggested by a friend, visited this place on a friday afternoon for lunch. ordered spring vegetable soup, dum briyani, garlic bread and pasta arrabiata double baked.

the soup tasted oriental with bits of paneer added for a twist, that melted in my mouth. the garlic bread had only a tinge of garlic flavor to it. domino's garlic bread would've been so much better! dum briyani has all the spices, way too much. it tasted strong and overpowering. pasta arrabiata made up for the rest. with stringy cheese and flakes of chillies, it tasted soo good 👌

for some reason everything was served a bit late. try not to leave therestaurantsatiated by their starter before the main course arrives. *note the sarcasm*
everything was pleasant about the ambience, feel and the locality. for what they are charging, taste should be definitely improved.

had good time at cream center. nice food excellent concept , italian mexican indian.... , i like the pasta arabiata. i feel the best pasta which i had at sydney. but now i will say thisrestaurantin coimbatore.
