country inn - mosaic

we stayed at country inn & suites manipal and had an amazing experience. one of the primary reasons for a memorable vacation was the delicious food they served. the whole team is very warm and friendly and theirserviceis quick. their in-room diningserviceis also very prompt and the menu is vast. both their restaurants are really good. we tried the mangalorean cuisine at mosaic and all the dishes were great. met the chef and he explained a lot about the dishes. my favourite was the kori gassi and neer dosa. the seafood is really fresh and a must have. their asian and north indian cuisine is equally good. we ate some pan asian dishes for the first time and they were delicious. their desserts were the highlight of every meal. they also have an expansive buffet which has good variety of dishes. the rooftop restaurant is for fine dining and the view at sunset from the rooftop pool is beautiful. it has a great ambiance to chill out and enjoy with friends and family.

divakar poojary made an impact on our very good experience at radisson. he was every willing to be atserviceat mosaic and he helped us with every bit we found it difficult to find. thank you divakar and radisson for making this trip experience good.

you might go to this place with a lot of expectations since this is supposed to be the best place to hangout in manipal. there were two restaurants in here, this review is about the ground floor one. i do not know about ala carte but the buffet disappointed me. there were only two starters- both for veg and nonveg. although they tasted good, but you expect more from such places. theservicewas also not great. only when you ask for another round, do they serve you.  coming to main courses, the biryani was good and so was the fish. but unfamiliar dishes and an expectation that the food would be excellent made the experience not so worthy! the desserts were okay and too much fancy i felt. there should be gulab jamuns, ice creams and porridge instead of orange sandwich, mango cake and such uncommon food items. the ice cream that we ordered was so delayed that we had to cancel it. the drinks came much later, when we were about to finish our dinner.

ordered crispy pepper chicken and palak mushroom dimsums.
food was just okay. dimsum had a weird taste to it. 

but the ambience and theservicewere great!
