we ate here to celebrate our mom’s birthday, surprisingly the quality of the food is great, quietplacefor you to relax, good music, service is good. one thing i’m disappointed and that there is no available steak because it’s monday and it is not their theme menu.. wednesday is seafood theme, thursday is filipino theme and friday is american theme. overall it’s good so i am inviting everyone to try and dine at corniche at diamond hotel manila.

our whole family went here for dinner to celebrate my brother’s birthday and it was a good experience. theplacehas a great ambience and service. we really had a good time for the attentiveness of the waiters and they were very polite. food was good but some dishes are cold - you need to request for it to be warmed up for you. this was my second time eating at corniche but it was the first time dining here during dinner. overall experience was good.

first time to try their lunch buffet, although this isn’t my first time at corniche but during my past visits we only had a la carte dishes.


-if you’re a seafood fanatic, this is theplacefor you! lots of seafood available like fresh fish, shrimp, shell, scallops, and even crabs! you can ask them to cook it any way you like.
- food was good but choices are limited.

some of the dishes i was able to try:
- steak: paired with their gravy, it’s delicious but not really outstanding. you have to choose the ‘good’ parts as some of the ones i got were a bit tough.
- paella: it was okay, flavorful.
- egg tart: not good! i didn’t like it.
- ice cream: try the baked cheesecake flavour!

- 188pesos for unli drinks (all i know for sure is that this pertains to softdrink). if with reservation, i think the drinks are already unli.

overall, theplaceis nice but i don’t really see myself coming back here anytime soon. 😅

we been here couple of weeks ago,we enjoyed the ambiance of theplaceregarding with the food we loved their filipino foods specially the kare kare and lechon paksiw the meat is so tender it almost melt in my mouth,the dessert is thumbs up overall experience was great,be back here soon

corniche is a go toplacefor our family whenever there's an occasion. since it's in diamond hotel, the ambiance and interiors are excellent. since we dine there always, i just find the food to be repetitive. if you are to try it for the 1st time, i am sure you'll enjoy the variety.

had the opportunity to avail their 50% off promo with officemates.

noteworthy selections (group consensus)
1. salmon (melts in your mouth-kind)
2. macarons
3. salted caramel and baked cheesecake gelato
4. carbonara with pork sisig combo (haha)

as mentioned several times in other reviews, their choices are few. although i enjoyed the dinner with friends, i don’t feel the full (non-discounted) price would be justifiable.

sadly we didn’t have the chance to try their steaks (which tastes good  daw). we ate on a monday.

overall i enjoyed. the quality of theplaceand the food were excellent.

by default, i'd go for japanese in any buffet and thisplacedidn't disappoint. they have a good selection of meals. i especially love their steak and salmon. but the biggest upper for me is their dessert! the cheesecake ice cream is to die for (and probably the fastest to run out). combine it with a scoop of their chocolate ice cream - heaven! staff is very courteous too.

the food here is really good. my friends from work and i ate here for dinner on a saturday night. we came ate around 7pm and theplacewas around half-full. if you bring a car, there's valet parking free for two hours.

i'd say that the variety of food here is good. there's continental dining, ranging from filipino, european, american, to japanese. the mac and cheese and the sirloin steak were one of my favorites. there's also a tapas and cheese bar - awesome with some wine (for a great conversation after some heavy eating, haha). they also serve jasmine tea if asked.

also, the service is top-notch. the waiter had us taste some of the wines first before we chose a bottle (saved us some money, in fact).

theplaceis good and luckily we got a 50% discount on a noon time when we were planning to have our lunch here the day before. theplaceis good, like a typical buffet joint inside a 5-star hotel. but they have a very limited options. the restaurant is quite congested as well since the space is not that big. foods are good!

i got an invite to sample the buffet offerings of corniche, the recently renovated restaurant of manila diamond hotel. corniche is a french word that typically refers to a road on the side of a cliff or ledge, paralleling the location of the hotel beside the famed roxas boulevard.
corniche holds a weekly “steak nights” during every thursday dinners including free flowing red wine.

i started off the meal with a plate of freshly shucked oysters. just pick how many pieces you want and they shuck them in front of you. i also had some large mussels as well as assorted sushi and sashimi.

the highlight of the night were the steaks. choice available were us striploin, us rib eye, us hanger steak, and beef tenderloin, all of which are on display, chilled. i picked a slice each of rib eye and beef tenderloin. i like rib eye the best because of the marbling i saw from the raw beef. i was not too picky so i left my order with the chef to cook. i think he got a little confused since 3 of us ordered at the same time and might have mixed up my order, since i wanted it cooked medium but got something between medium well and well done.
i like that you could specify how thick and the doneness of the steak, maybe i should have supervised a little more in hindsight.

i liked that some of the dishes were displayed in small amounts to ensure the freshness especially that chicken breast with truffle in the middle of the picture that was creamy and flavorful.

we also had naan bread cooked in their naan oven as can be seen in their indian station.

pasta beautifully prepared and plated from the italian station, which also had freshly baked pizzas. the presentation of the pasta really took me by surprise, being used to the slapshod way from other buffets.

aside from the freshly cooked steak, they also had a sumptuous carving station which had baked fish, us prime rib, soy chicken and lechon de leche. this area and the steak station were the main crowd drawers that night.

desserts galore kept on tempting me since our table was just beside the dessert station. i really can’t resist having those desserts in the shot glasses, i got 4 of them that night. i like the peach and the strawberry one the best. i also saw a halo-halo station at the back, too bad i was too full to get some.
i really like the interiors of corniche, with its use of metal, wood and glass. the different niche seating areas with views of the water features in the garden are also a big plus. one thing i did not feel was stuffy, that’s when i noticed that the wholeplacehad high ceilings, from the buffet area to the seating.

so if you can’t get enough of steak, you might want to give corniche a try and experience steak nights every thursday.
