my favorites at corniche are the asparagus soup, tuna and salmon sashimi, lamb chops, conchinillo and of course their dessert. chinese food is average, and i am not a big fan of indian and filipino food in buffets. a decent selection of cheeses and tapas await you, as well as a good fresh choice of salads. when you come here, make sure to bring your appetite as almost everything on their menu is exceptional. since they renovated the place, they have not yet disappointed me. please be aware of the dress code though. they do not allow rubber slippers to be worn inside the dining area "for a more enjoyable experience." they do provide sandals and shoes for those who are not dressed appropriately. i fell victim to this rule.

at first i was really disappointed with this place, but i came back because we had dinner reservation. so my expectation was pretty low. but at the same time i wasnt really impressed by the place. we sat on the table the three of us, we were situated on the far back. so we were basically away from the kids who were running around and adults who were a bit frantic on getting the best cut meat. the waiter was very courteous and attentive. did i forget to mention that this was a fine dining experience. they started us out with abalone soup which was somewhat okay. i didnt get to see or crunch on the abalone but the flavor was there and it certainly warmed me up. then they served us some cold cut meats. there was sweet pork, jellyfish, chicken, lechon kawali and the star of the plate for me was the duck. it was succulent, juicy and meaty. there was no bones so that was really a treat. after that it certainly got a lot better. they served us crabs on rice noodles, i am not a fan of eating crabs outside my home because of the fact these types of seafood are better enjoyed, eaten in the privacy of your own home with family or somewhere middle class or rustic not in a fancy hotel. but it was really nice, the rice noodles absorbed the taste of the crab and they cut up the crab for easy picking. then they put out scallops, i have had scallops so many times that i already know if they were cook properly. they were, you could still taste the ocean. it was a clean taste of brine and mussel. it literally fell apart in my mouth. as it easily flow through the back of my mouth it left a clean taste. it was perfect. they also served some seafood and noodles but the three main dish was the highlight of the entire evening. then if you have read my previous review of their coffee shop... lol they serve us some complimentary brewed coffee. i was so full. thank you.

we ate here to celebrate our mom’s birthday, surprisingly the quality of the food is great, quiet place for you to relax, good music, service is good. one thing i’m disappointed and that there is no available steak because it’s monday and it is not their theme menu.. wednesday is seafood theme, thursday is filipino theme and friday is american theme. overall it’s good so i am inviting everyone to try and dine at corniche at diamond hotel manila.

this is genuinely one of the best buffets i’ve been to, and better than most that you’d expect to be top level!
i had the lunch buffet during filipino month and they had a fantastic selection of fresh meats you can choose to be grilled by one of the cooks (the tenderloin is fabulous! perfectly seasoned) the sushi selection seemed amazing, i only tried one but it was delicious, along with the seared tuna sashimi.

they have an excellent olive bread which i’d highly recommend, and the pasta bar is on point.

what really stole the show though, was the dessert selection 😱 holy mother have mercy when you see that dessert table, good luck sticking to one plate only! whatever you do, do not skip the carrot cake!

have you ever gone to a buffet where all dishes had a similar taste? yup, this is one of them. japanese sushi wherein rice was suppose to be the star, theirs was bland. tempura was soaked in oil.
i couldn't really think of a dish which saved their dinner buffet.

their breakfast buffet was better, hashbrowns were good, bacon cooked to a crisp. i would have wanted more pinoy dishes like tapa, tocino or longganisa, but only dilis was available.

avoid if you can, eat only when free. not even worth it for half the price.

beautiful buffet and cafe restaurant framing the centre of the diamond hotel’s main lobby. there are special buffet events during key times of the year, such as valentine’s, independence day, mother’s and father’s day, and christmas. service is brisk when the buffet is full, and often full it is.

the carvery station rotates between turkey, roast lamb, and prime rib (so it’s good to call in advance and see what they have). cold seafood, salad, and their charcuterie is in the centre, with a bar in the rear. japanese sushi and tempura items are on the far right.

continental, chinese, the grill and carvery station are on the left, with filipino at the very end.

just like manila hotel, the diamond makes special effort to make filipino-clavoured ice creams, rice cakes, and other “native” desserts. coffee is included.

considering the formidable competition posed by manila hotel and sofitel manila, i still rank this within the bay area’s top five buffets between the port area and mall of asia, which i’d say includes market cafe in new world manila bay, and brasserie on 3 at the conrad manila in moa.

had the pleasure of having a complimentary breakfast when we checked in - no slippers here - even if it is a designer one, they will really check your attire 🙃 it should match the experience as what they say. the food was typical of what you will get in a reputable hotel.fancy and tasty but really nothing extraordinary.

christmas was just around the corner, and my boyfriend and i were really feeling the holiday spirit. to join in on all the festivities, every year we splurge on our christmas lunch and spend it eating in a hotel buffet. this year, thanks to the promo from bdo, we found ourselves inside diamond hotel's corniche.

our whole family went here for dinner to celebrate my brother’s birthday and it was a good experience. the place has a great ambience and service. we really had a good time for the attentiveness of the waiters and they were very polite. food was good but some dishes are cold - you need to request for it to be warmed up for you. this was my second time eating at corniche but it was the first time dining here during dinner. overall experience was good.

corniche is diamond hotel's main dining hall where breakfast buffet is served, as well as the hotel's welcome drinks. we were given four vouchers for our welcome drinks - choice of coffee, tea or fruit juices. we asked for 2 orange juice and 2 mango juice. delicious, refreshing drinks served in a big tall glass. service was good considering we did not order anything else other than avail of the free drinks. would be nice though if they were proactive in upselling options for snacks, if in case the guest wanted something to pair with the free drink.

first time to try their lunch buffet, although this isn’t my first time at corniche but during my past visits we only had a la carte dishes.

-if you’re a seafood fanatic, this is the place for you! lots of seafood available like fresh fish, shrimp, shell, scallops, and even crabs! you can ask them to cook it any way you like.
- food was good but choices are limited.

some of the dishes i was able to try:
- steak: paired with their gravy, it’s delicious but not really outstanding. you have to choose the ‘good’ parts as some of the ones i got were a bit tough.
- paella: it was okay, flavorful.
- egg tart: not good! i didn’t like it.
- ice cream: try the baked cheesecake flavour!

- 188pesos for unli drinks (all i know for sure is that this pertains to softdrink). if with reservation, i think the drinks are already unli.

overall, the place is nice but i don’t really see myself coming back here anytime soon. 😅
