my favorites atcornicheare the asparagus soup, tuna and salmon sashimi, lamb chops, conchinillo and of course their dessert. chinese food is average, and i am not a big fan of indian and filipino food in buffets. a decent selection of cheeses and tapas await you, as well as a good fresh choice of salads. when you come here, make sure to bring your appetite as almost everything on their menu is exceptional. since they renovated the place, they have not yet disappointed me. please be aware of the dress code though. they do not allow rubber slippers to be worn inside the dining area "for a more enjoyable experience." they do provide sandals and shoes for those who are not dressed appropriately. i fell victim to this rule.

we ate here to celebrate our mom’s birthday, surprisingly the quality of the food is great, quiet place for you to relax, good music, service is good. one thing i’m disappointed and that there is no available steak because it’s monday and it is not their theme menu.. wednesday is seafood theme, thursday is filipino theme and friday is american theme. overall it’s good so i am inviting everyone to try and dine atcornicheat diamond hotel manila.

our whole family went here for dinner to celebrate my brother’s birthday and it was a good experience. the place has a great ambience and service. we really had a good time for the attentiveness of the waiters and they were very polite. food was good but some dishes are cold - you need to request for it to be warmed up for you. this was my second time eating atcornichebut it was the first time dining here during dinner. overall experience was good.

first time to try their lunch buffet, although this isn’t my first time atcornichebut during my past visits we only had a la carte dishes.


-if you’re a seafood fanatic, this is the place for you! lots of seafood available like fresh fish, shrimp, shell, scallops, and even crabs! you can ask them to cook it any way you like.
- food was good but choices are limited.

some of the dishes i was able to try:
- steak: paired with their gravy, it’s delicious but not really outstanding. you have to choose the ‘good’ parts as some of the ones i got were a bit tough.
- paella: it was okay, flavorful.
- egg tart: not good! i didn’t like it.
- ice cream: try the baked cheesecake flavour!

- 188pesos for unli drinks (all i know for sure is that this pertains to softdrink). if with reservation, i think the drinks are already unli.

overall, the place is nice but i don’t really see myself coming back here anytime soon. 😅

we stay here during bar operations in november.cornicheis our go to buffet in the morning. the balance of the breakfast buffet is good. i like variety and the freshness of the food they serve. worth every penny!

just to make our ordinary day special, we've decided to have dinner here atcornichewithout any reservations, good thing there are only few customers that time since it is a monday night so they can accommodate us. we did our rounds first just to see the buffet choices. well, we are not impressed. the buffet choices are few. to think the price is php1,800/pax drinks not included except for coffee and tea, not worth it. salmon sashimi is too thick and chewy, desserts are too sweet, cooked food are not good also. but i give credit to their laksa noodle soup, shrimp, crab, brewed coffee and tea. but will not go back again. over all, for me it is not worth the price.

breakfast atcornichehas few selections but all of which were really good! i meant "good" for you can enjoy everything as they all tasted awesome and fresh. good selection of fruits, yogurt, savory meals including asian and western dishes.

i got an invite to sample the buffet offerings of corniche, the recently renovated restaurant of manila diamond hotel.cornicheis a french word that typically refers to a road on the side of a cliff or ledge, paralleling the location of the hotel beside the famed roxas boulevard.
corniche holds a weekly “steak nights” during every thursday dinners including free flowing red wine.

i started off the meal with a plate of freshly shucked oysters. just pick how many pieces you want and they shuck them in front of you. i also had some large mussels as well as assorted sushi and sashimi.

the highlight of the night were the steaks. choice available were us striploin, us rib eye, us hanger steak, and beef tenderloin, all of which are on display, chilled. i picked a slice each of rib eye and beef tenderloin. i like rib eye the best because of the marbling i saw from the raw beef. i was not too picky so i left my order with the chef to cook. i think he got a little confused since 3 of us ordered at the same time and might have mixed up my order, since i wanted it cooked medium but got something between medium well and well done.
i like that you could specify how thick and the doneness of the steak, maybe i should have supervised a little more in hindsight.

i liked that some of the dishes were displayed in small amounts to ensure the freshness especially that chicken breast with truffle in the middle of the picture that was creamy and flavorful.

we also had naan bread cooked in their naan oven as can be seen in their indian station.

pasta beautifully prepared and plated from the italian station, which also had freshly baked pizzas. the presentation of the pasta really took me by surprise, being used to the slapshod way from other buffets.

aside from the freshly cooked steak, they also had a sumptuous carving station which had baked fish, us prime rib, soy chicken and lechon de leche. this area and the steak station were the main crowd drawers that night.

desserts galore kept on tempting me since our table was just beside the dessert station. i really can’t resist having those desserts in the shot glasses, i got 4 of them that night. i like the peach and the strawberry one the best. i also saw a halo-halo station at the back, too bad i was too full to get some.
i really like the interiors of corniche, with its use of metal, wood and glass. the different niche seating areas with views of the water features in the garden are also a big plus. one thing i did not feel was stuffy, that’s when i noticed that the whole place had high ceilings, from the buffet area to the seating.

diamond hotel'scornicheoffers one of the best buffets in the metro, and it just got better. recently,cornicheintroduced the friday lobster buffet for a limited run, all-you-can-eat lobster, prepared any way you want, along with a variety of fresh seafood. the seafood display is the highlight of the buffet, featuring rock lobster, slipper lobster, fresh oysters, mussels, clams and crabs. after you make a selection, the chef then plates it for you, ready to eat. just add some lemon butter and you're good to go. or you can have the chef prepare it any way you want, sauteed in butter, baked with four cheeses, grilled or wok-fried with salt, pepper and chilies. how about a pasta dish with lobster? no problem. pizza? easy. the best part? you can try all of them. and come back for more.

the price for the friday lobster buffet is higher than the usual weekday buffet, and it may seem pricey initially at p 2,385++ per person. but if you consider the cost of a lobster dinner in any high-end establishment, plus the fact that you can have as many lobsters as you want, then its really not a bad deal. the friday lobster buffet also offers a carving station for prime rib, a grill station for assorted meats, a japanese station for sushi, sashimi and tempura, a chinese station with barbecued meats and peking duck, as well as the usual cheese and cold cuts station, a pasta station, a salad station and desserts. the layout of the different stations and the seating options are conveniently arranged. service is excellent, as one can expect. the buffet starts at 6pm every friday, and a line normally builds up before 6pm. the friday lobster buffet is on a limited run only, so call ahead to book your reservations.

would i come back? absolutely. just seeing that much lobster is worth the cost of the buffet.
