goodfoodlet down by service. we found this a pleasant place to have breakfast and typically enjoy thefoodand atmosphere which we've found is normally good, if not on the more expensive side overall. you probably won't have any trouble if you stick strictly to the menu items (which you're asked not to amend in any way), and you don't need to say anything to the young staff beyond what a nice morning it is or pay your bill. there did not appear to be any front of house person or manager to deal with any issues beyond the mundane. if they need to compromise to resolve an issue, chances are it won't end well.

very poor customer service with extremely long wait time for food.

waited an hour forfoodfor a group of two. somehow two other tables had gotten theirfoodbefore us, despite being seated and ordering after us. staff did not seem impressed when we had to follow up on our order.

food was average at best and came out cold. i would recommend going to other cafes in the area.

staff were not friendly and did not acknowledge that we were waiting for such a long time.

i was surprised to see there were seats in there when every other cafe around was full. thefoodwas really bland and we won’t return. the atmosphere is great so that was very disappointing for us. the staff were friendly enough.

if you have to eat somewhere then this probably isn't the worst place to eat, but i wouldn't be placing my expectations too high. also, going on a bit too enthusiastically on the 'toasting' aspect of thefoodand almost crossing the line to burning.

visited while on a family day trip to rosebud. the serving sizes were generous and thefoodcame out promptly all served together. the croquettes were soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. the daily special was a warm salad of prawns and chorizo which tasted good but they forgot to add the chorizo in our salad. the only other downside was the chips weren't crunchy.
everything else was great. the staff were friendly and i especially liked how the share plates they gave us were warm just like in restaurants. i would definitely return if i were ever down this way again.

a great cafe with separated dining area , elegant decor , friendly service and greatfood. i believe the owner has great taste i love every single decor in this cafe , we seat at the back , you can also get some information for what to do in mornington here which is really thoughtful. they have interesting name for the tea selection . we had a calamari & toasted chicken parma turkish bread . calamari was brilliant! fresh and toasted with salad , dressing is exquisite.
just took us a while to find the parking, a fantastic cafe for weekend getaway. what's even better , it's located near the seashore.
we will definitely come back for waffles again. and to the beautiful lady who returned the cardigan that i left in the cafe , a big thank you to you :)

it's not that easy finding goodfoodin the rye, rosebud, blairgowrie and sorento are. but at least i can add the corner cafe to the list of places i would recommend.

great cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. right on the corner across from the rosebud plaza.

staff were friendly and attentive. prices weren't too bad.foodwas great. lot of interesting ideas and flavors, but they work well together.

might go back again tomorrow for the pancakes or waffles.

came here yesterday for coffees. the chai latte was really nice. it was quite a busy little cafe. staff were friendly and everyone looked quite happy around us. would love to try thefoodnext time!

terrible costumer service! i went this morning for breakfast with my friend and three children. we thought the place looked cute and were looking forward to a nice sunday morning breakfast. we asked if the kids could have scrambled eggs instead of the fried egg that was listed on the kids menu but were very rudely told that that wasn't possible. despite the fact that the adult menu offered scrambled eggs. it didn't seem like an unreasonable request but the young woman behind the counter was not at all willing to accommodate us. more importantly, she was quite snippy and condescending in the way she spoke to us. we were not difficult or demanding customers and she was just plain rude. we said nothing but ordered the adult sized scrambled eggs for our kids and went about our breakfast but the sour attitude and lack of accommodation left a bad taste in our mouths. the other servers were slightly better but no one there had a smile on their face or a kind word to say. they all looked unhappy to be there. on top of all that thefoodwas very average. overall a bad dining experience and we will not be returning.

one of my favorite cafes on the mornington peninsula. large menu selection with all day breakfast. thefoodis always yummy with friendly service to top off a great brunch. i make sure to come here whenever i'm down that way.

return customer. i have been to bmc many times for breakfasts, it's always a winner in my opinion and i have always experienced greatfoodand service here. berry french toast is my fav and they also do a a good eggs benedict. i don't understand the previous comments about high prices when the serving sizes are generous and the bread used is quality. coffee is not the best i've had, but it is made correctly and served promptly. staff are always friendly and accommodating here

not very good.foodwas average and a bit overpriced. worse thing was the head staff lady - rude in a passive aggressive type way when we asked to use 2 entertainment book vouchers. even though you order and pay separately at the counter she said the table could only use one coupon between 9 people. not in the spirit of the enterprise. definite lost 9 customers due to rude manner.

most overpriced cafe for poor quality, sour service and lousy coffee on the peninsula. ate a full veg brekkie here 3 years ago i was in heaven - grilled asparagus and layered potato sour cream. now? hash brown, no asparagus and still $23. gluten free toast pay an extra $4. when i asked about this i was told it costs more to ship qualityfoodfrom melbourne. there are good peninsula artisan bakeries. total rip-off and they don't deserve the business but sadly few choices in rosebud.
