exquisite food and service. the triad restaurant club (check us out on facebook) decided to give this place a try. as self proclaimed "foodies" we are always looking for new and exciting places to try. our server kris, was top of the line. he was attentive without being overbearing or annoying!!! loved ya kris!!! we started with the appetizer sampler of three different appetizers. we order the baba ghannoush, mansoura dip and hummus. the baba ghannoush was perfect. the eggplant was fragrant and not over powering. the mansoura dip made such an impression that one of our foodie was searching the internet for the recipe. there wasn't a drop of it left. it was a little like tzatziki sauce with dill and maybe a touch of mint. the hummus was fresh and you didn't mind eating it plain, however you recieve bread and olive oil with your meal and the appetizer so you didn't have to do that. for drinks we had the fresh mango-guava juice, raspberry lemonade, sweet iced tea, coffee and water. we also tried the turkish coffee and latte. all were fabulous. for the meal we had lamb/beef shawerma with the salad and rice with nuts, raisin, onion mix.:, beef shiskabab with the grilled vegetables &white egyptian rice cooked with vermicelli , chicken shawerma with salad with olives and feta cheese added and the rice mix, the mixed grill and the egyptian steak. the food was excellent and the service was impeccable. for dessert 4 of us tried the umm ali while another tried the tanta baklawa. the desserts were to die for. the owner mr. yasser abdel-aziz was very helpful and was willing to help us understand the menu if we had any questions. we were very impressed with this restaurant and vow to make a return trip in the future. it's nice to find a place where the service and the food are excellent.

great meal, friendly staff. having heard little and read mixed reviews, i wasn't sure what to expect, but our party of 4 had a wonderful experience. appetizers, main courses, and desserts were all great. food came on time, and the staff could not have been friendlier. i recommend the pickled lemon and olives, and the kofta kabob. no liquor license, but you can bring your own wine with no corkage fee.

horrible!. they should be ashamed of the food they call "authentic" egyptian. waitstaff was very nice and attentive(of course at lunch time there was only 1 other table). the food was horrible...hummus was grainy and had no taste. the pita bread that they say is "homemade" looks like the pita you get at the grocery store and tastes about the same.
cleopatra's offers a taste of everything from their hotbar they have set up for $12. everything that was out looked like it had been out all day and dried up so we opted for chicken shawarma sandwich's with their "hand cut " fries. i watched the cook come out, take the chicken that had been sitting out on the hotbar for our sandwiches.
when they came out i was shocked i had never seen shawarma stuffed in the side of a pita.
the chicken had been mixed with a curry concoction, mixed with lettuce and stuffed in their sesame pita, tasted horrible! the fries had an odd taste also. i can not recommend this place at all...in fact i think some of the good reviews have been made up on here...it was noon and the place was empty!

just try it once. because you will be back. the bread alone is worth the trip. they prepare the fish to order, meaning it is cleaned when you order it. as along as you are with a whole fish with bones you will love it. very fresh. the baba ganoush was very tasty. the service was excellent. if you can remember, ask for a side of yogurt with your meal. they make that fresh also. it's good with your meat or rice or even in your salad.

horrible!. me and my egyptian husband walked in at 3:30 this afternoon excited to try out a new egyptian place.. after 15 min the server walks over and says.. are you here to eat? well duh!!! then he proceeds to say, kitchen is closed bc business is slow and proceeded to give us some to go menus for next time.. seriously!!! this is how yall do business!!! i have never never been so disapointed and pissed off!!! why when we walked in did you, the egyptian guy standing behind the counter with the white chick not say, sorry we are closing?? instead we find a table and sit there for 15 min.. we will never go back.. what a sorry excuse of a restuarant!!!!

after seeing the sign, i wondered what kind of food they served (duh) and googled them. dh and i love to try new places, so why not. their express lunch bar "a little of everything" was enough food for us to share one order, and everything was great (especially the green beans). the owner and the chef both took time to explain everything, the service was wonderful. felt like eating in someones home. we will definitely go back again!

delicious dinner!. the food at cleopatra's was fabulous!!! it was my first experience with eygptian food... my dinner party of four adults enjoyed everything we ordered!! we had a variety of dishes and all were terrific!! the chef samir came to our table and explained some of our choices!!! the plates were filled with plenty of food and we really enjoyed every bite! though we had not finished all our food and anxious to enjoy the leftovers at home, we ordered dessert!!! what a great decision!! the"baklava",tanta baklawa, differed from the greek style. it was rolled and served warm. the dessert i chose was a combination of fillo pastry, creme, golden raisins and almonds, umm ali. our taste buds were dancing with joy!!! we are planning on going back to try more of the dishes. there are so many choices! also, the service was great!! our server was only there for a few days .. he did great! thank you so much for a wonderful evening!!!

went to lunch and a good experience , little over priced but food was good and friendly service. took the family to dinner there the next day and was very disappointed. lot of the items on the menu were not available , food quality was poor (3 out of 4 dishes were not right----steak was good). the worst part waste service. to say i have had better service from fast food chains would be an understatement.

the best food ever!. happened to be in greensboro and had to ck to see what all the buzz is about this new restaurant. we started out with the baba ghannoush appetitizer--wow! i have had this before and there is no comparison. cleopatra salad with the feta cheese wedge fresh and lovely. we had the shish kabab made with the filet mignon. the steak was grilled to perfection. can it get any better than this? no! i will say that they are very new and still working on finding waiters and waitresses to the proportion of the people who are coming in (in droves btw). i did not mind waiting a bit for food this good. everyone should check out this restaurant. you won't be disappointed.

ate there tonight - food was great and staff was really nice! but be warned, the "salad" on the grill platter is really just a garnish of mixed baby greens. if you want something like the salads described on the menu then you need to order it separately. also there's no beer or wine - don't know if you can brown bag or not.
