absolutely delicious mediterranean fare. a wide range of well seasoned and we'll prepared items. vegetarian platter was amazing even for a carnivore. do yourself a favor and treat yourself, family, and friends to a meal at the clear a's restaurant.

not so great. while the waitress was very nice, the food not so much. tables and plates were dirty and overall food was lacking in flavor. we will not be going there again.

...i decided to dine there with a co-worker of mine. the waiter was extremely welcoming and skillfully sociable, with no hesitation in his speech, as he introduced us to the menu and

used to be good. we have been there 4 times - last winter and spring and again in october 2013. what a difference. the falafel is soooo dry and overcooked. yuk. the beef swarma was so tough that it couldn't be chewed. we always love the baklava and this time it was different - dry and tasteless. expensive meal and not worth a dime. will try the one on wendover,

it's a rip-off. and a slow one at that.. june 2012:
i will start out by saying that the food was quite good. but everything else about our experience was poor, which makes me sad, because we were quite excited to try it.

we went for a sunday lunch. we ended waiting at least an hour for our food once we ordered it, and we ordered nothing special. the waiter kept apologizing, and he even brought us small salads for free while we waited. the restaurant wasn't especially busy, and i heard him apologize to everyone else, too, so we weren't the only ones sitting there for a long time.

our waiter was a nice guy, but our (small) tea glasses were emptied a couple times and sat for some time before we got a refill.

when we got the food, it was quite good, which was the only saving grace about our visit. i got the lamb/beef schawarma, and my friend got the shish kabobs.

when we got our bill, i asked why it said $15.95 instead of $10.95, as i was expecting. my friend's was much higher, too. he told us that they didn't do the lunch prices on the weekend. nowhere on the menu does it say that -- it just says lunch and dinner, and there aren't even times listed to show when one ends and another begins. (we were there at 1, so we fell into lunchtime.) also, i just doublechecked the menu online, and the dinner portion for mine should have been $14.95, not $15.95 as i was charged. i never would have had lunch there if i had known that my total bill, not including tip, for one person would be $19.11.

oct. 2012:
i made the mistake of going back with my husband, just to see if anything had changed. it hadn't. this time we went back at lunch on a weekday, instead of on the weekend. the service was still excruciatingly slow, and the quality of the food had actually fallen. i got the schawarma again, and it wasn't as good as it was the first time -- it was a bit overcooked and dry this time.

also, their menu has not been updated to reflect that lunch prices do not apply on the weekend, which is misleading to customers.

amazing food. ****amzing food****
i ordered take out the staff was very friendly and helpful i had a ton of questions and they were able to answer every one of them. we went with the baba ghanoush for an appetizer which was delicious. we decided to go with the mixed grill it offered a great variety a little bit of everything. i must say it was all wonderful and tasted amazing. it included kofta kabab, chicken, and lamb chops. it was all so juicy and tender. we also went with the gambari and wow the calamari and shrimp were amazing so fresh. the shrimp that were included where huge it was such a great price for the food quality you receive is worth every dollar spent. i must admit i was a bit nervous since it was take out but everything was packed wonderfully which helped everything stay hot and fresh. i was pleasantly surprised i sure will be back.

good food!. i went with a friend to cleopatra's on 06/28/2013 as a first-time encounter and had a great time! the waitress, robin, was super friendly and very helfpul.

at some restaurants, i run into problems with using a coupon from the attractions book. i encountered no such issue at cleopatra's.
if you're looking for a recommendation, try the chicken kabab dinner with the side salad and the belgebna.

the entree comes with pita bread and a dip, but i recommend spending a few dollars extra to get a side of their hummus. it's very tasty and worth the extra money!

pricey, but you get what you pay for.. it had a nice decor with some cool egyptian themed nicknacks and nice music. the service was good and the server very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. the food didn't take too long to come out and was excellent when it arrived. there was a fair selection of vegan/vegetarian options, though not a lot. i got the felafel and fewl and it was very good. they had a nice selection of drinks- tamarind, rosella, guava, and mango. the guava juice and rosella were excellent, though expensive. although it was pricey in comparison with a place like ghassan's, it was much tastier and you got a good amount of food for your money. all in all, it is a great restaurant to go treat yourself to a nice meal and try something different. if you are used to 5 star restaurants in new york you might be disappointed here, but you probably have unrealistic standards.

best in greensboro!. this is by far my favorite restaurant in greensboro. i have been 3 or four times and it is always excellent. the first couple of times i ordered the vegetarian sampler. the portions are huge and everything deliciious-falafel is one of my favorite foods and they have the best in town, and great musaka. the last time i went i got falafel and fewl. fewl is a delicious dish humus-like dish made with fava beans. the server was great, and even the salad was exceptional! i heard multiple people asking about the dressing because it was so delicious. i don't eat meat, but the people who i have eaten with said it is excellently seasoned. the atmosphere and music are very pleasing. the owner was also very nice, and he was kind enough to answer all my questions about where to buy fava beans and how to cook them.

diner review. my sister, my dad and i had dinner at cleopatra's tonight and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. the food was excellent. great quality, incredibly tasty and flavorful. our waitress, jessica, was really helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items. cleopatra's restaurant offers a wide and diverse variety of flavors which were all new to me. entirely delightful and delicious! will definitely be visiting again!
