what a lovely evening my family had at ciaopastabar!

the food was delicious, got my kids to eat everything! loved all the choices, especially the gluten free. it was great that we could great pastas that we will enjoy because it's our preference!
the prices were extremley affordable and the staff was very kind especially to our kids! made us feel like family!!

ciaopastabar is welcoming, delicious and affordable!! everyone should go!!

disappointing. positives: concept is a good idea. thepastahad an authentic flair and the flavors were good.

we were one of the first tables seated for the night before the large dinner crowd arrived. we made reservations but when we checked in our names weren't recorded? no big deal because we were seated right away.
although it took a few minutes for the rest of our party to arrive, service seemed to dwindle from there.
we were a table of three and on our side of the restaurant tables started to fill up after us, tables of 2, 6 and 10 it seemed.
although we ordered first, our entrees seemed to come last. when our server came to explain why there was a hold up the reason was because"i have a table of 10 so i have to take of them first. sorry"
so we were there before the table of 2 and 10 yet we have to wait because there were 3 of us? and thanks for making us feel less important than a larger group who would end up giving you a higher tip.
i do give props to the water girl, she seemed to be the most attentive of all the servers.

mediocre. me and my wife had dinner here and the everything was thoroughly mediocre. we ordered a caesar salad that claimed to be homemade but could have easily come out of a bottle. i ordered homemade fettuccine carbonara and my wife order the homemade fettuccine bolognese. thepastaitself was fairly good but had none of the silky delicacy of fresh pasta--noddles were hardened and stuck together. my carbonara was just a cream sauce with pancetta. i almost sent it back. if you're going to run apastabar, then at least learn to make one of the staple italianpastadishes. eggs! there needs to be eggs! without eggs, it's just cream sauce. my wife's bolognese was a little better, but it had none of the richness of this classic italian ragu sauce. so while the food was acceptable, it simply does not live up to what it says it is. maybe their other dishes are better. i'll probably give them another try.
