stopped in for dinner on a fridaynightand we were seated immediately. however, we waited 25 minutes for someone to take our order (or even acknowledge us). terrible service. could have been an off night, but i won't go back again.

just don't go at night. the reason i say don't go atnightis because a lot of people book the place and it becomes a party tavern that is too loud and the staff has little time to serve you. otherwise, the food is not bad...but there are better places to get british style food in savannah such as macpherson's. hit this place up for lunch if you want the full attention of the staff or hate loud music/parties.

never going again. i recently went to churchill's pub in savannah with a large group. we had reservations made for over a week in advance for our party of 28. we took a charter bus from our hotel to the restaurant and due to traffic our bus was 45 minutes late. i continually stayed in touch with the restaurant to keep them up to date with where we were. after talking on the phone with them at least 4 times, and them reassuring us that it was no problem at all, we arrived at the restaurant. they sat us down and took our drink orders, and i saw the manager so i wanted to go talk with him and personally apologize for the inconvenience that we had caused and to thank him for allowing us to eat in his establishment. the manager was rude, condescending, and used inappropriate language when speaking with me, and then decided that because we were 45 min late and were such a large group that he could no longer accommodate us. we had scheduled this as our dinner for our formal and were shocked to learn that they had told us it was no problem at all, and now they couldn't serve us. it is terrible business to hold a reservation for that long turning away customers so that they could accommodate our large party, and then to turn us away as well. they lost a lot of money on thisnightand caused our group to have to split up and eat separately around savannah. i would not recommend this place to anyone due to the terrible customer service and an unprofessional manager.

latenightmenu. off all the spots on this stretch of pubs and breweries, churchill's pub is the place for latenightgrub. food was tasty, beers were cold, and the service was friendly. event though the place is always busy, there is enough space to enjoy conversation without having to yell over the guy next to you. convenient location if you are staying at the hyatt regency across the street.
