don't bother. there are too many other fine restaurants in savannah to waste your time on this one.

my family had dinner here on a thursday at 7 pm. it was not busy that night, but it seemed the wait for the food was noticeable albeit not ridiculous. i ordered the traditional roasted chicken. when it finally arrived, the stuffing was burned on the bottom but edible. the roasted potatoes were overcooked to the point that i requested a steak knife (that server disappeared after my request and never returned.) the chicken was the worst. i couldn't even break through with my butter knife and fork. the skin was so dry and crusty that i couldn't get to the meat. i tried to tear off the drumstick to eat while waiting on the knife that never came, and that drumstick was so hard i was able to pound it on the plate. i gave up and called for the waitress. when i told her how bad the food was, she said "oh, i'm sorry" but in a way as if she was empathizing with me! i had to tell her to take it off the bill and take it away. she asked if i wanted anything else, and i told her no. we saw her once more when she came with the check.

now, if i had been the waitress that night, i wouldn't have allowed food that bad to leave the kitchen. if i had heard such a complaint, i would have alerted the manager. i got no such respect from our waitress. i have never had such horrible food, never. my family visits savannah at least twice a year, and i can promise i will never visit this restaurant again.

i love english pub food. churchills didn't disappoint me. i had the steak and mushroom pie which was exactly as i would want it. i ate half of my sons order of fish and chips which i also enjoyed. our server seemed very disinterested in being there, so that detracted from the experience. overall i would recommend going up to the roof deck and enjoying the terrific and authentic pub food, even if the wait staff doesn't enhance the experience. disclaimer - even though our primary server was not very inspiring, the other staff that we encountered were more animated and friendly.

best meal i had in savannah. i had steak and ale pie, wife had grilled scallops. we had pimento cheese crockets for an appetizer. all of it was good. as good as the food was , the service was better. everyone was nice. even the ones that were not our waitress would ask how everything was and how we liked savanha. highly recommend.

where is the fish? two cold tortillas, tasteless fish. service bad!!! this is our first experience here in savannah, hope it only gets better!!

this was the first place we ate in savannah. it was around midnight and it was actually open. that was already a plus. nice local beer selection. very friendly service. this chicken tacos were awesome. the pretzel was good but the beer cheese was more like a cheese spread and that left for a very dry pretzel. overall a very good experience, i would return.

consistently offering fresh and creative entrées, friendly and attentive staff, and a great atmosphere, you can't go wrong! the seafood stew is loaded with fresh seafood and never overdone. - a steal for $10!

stopped in for dinner on a friday night and we were seated immediately. however, we waited 25 minutes for someone to take our order (or even acknowledge us). terrible service. could have been an off night, but i won't go back again.

not touristy. great beer and wine selection, great british food.

best food we had in savannah area!. this is the best food we ate in the savannah area including tybee island.we were beyond happy with churchill's pub! the service was great, quickly expedited, and food was wonderful. waitress brought water immediately upon greeting and was attentive at the necessary times and the place was busy for a sunday night.

awful! visit one of the many other pubs... the waitress was nice but the bartender was an idiot and the manager was useless. most of my table wanted to watch a particular game on the single tv visible, and the bartender wouldn't change the channel for any reason whatsoever. the reason supposedly being one guy at the bar (a bar with many tvs, all with the game we wanted to watch but outside our view) attended the school playing in the game on the one screen in our view. we will call this school northwest central north dakota state a&m. plus it was the satellite campus! you get the picture. no one cares. oh yeah and the food was crap, but all british food is so whatever.

just don't go at night. the reason i say don't go at night is because a lot of people book the place and it becomes a party tavern that is too loud and the staff has little time to serve you. otherwise, the food is not bad...but there are better places to get british style food in savannah such as macpherson's. hit this place up for lunch if you want the full attention of the staff or hate loud music/parties.

loved this place!. i'm visiting savannah/tybee island with my family and decided to stop in for dinner with my dad. we always love to try local restaurants every time we travel, and are interesting in learning more about different types of food. i'm a vegetarian, but that being said, am not a picky eater. we had beers, apps, and entrees, all of which were amazing! i had the black bean burger with fries and it was one of the best veggie burgers i've ever had! i ordered the jalapeno sauce on the side which was a good decision because although it was great in small amounts, i think it would have overpowered the burger. my dad had the steak and ale(i believe that was what it was called) and he loved that. service was great and the server was very knowledgeable! will try to come back on our next trip to savannah!

86% likes?? what the hell is wrong with 14% of the patrons? churchill's is the best pub you can find in ga. if you weren't satisfied with the place you might need to try a different type restaurant and perhaps you are not familiar with pub etiquette.

never going again. i recently went to churchill's pub in savannah with a large group. we had reservations made for over a week in advance for our party of 28. we took a charter bus from our hotel to the restaurant and due to traffic our bus was 45 minutes late. i continually stayed in touch with the restaurant to keep them up to date with where we were. after talking on the phone with them at least 4 times, and them reassuring us that it was no problem at all, we arrived at the restaurant. they sat us down and took our drink orders, and i saw the manager so i wanted to go talk with him and personally apologize for the inconvenience that we had caused and to thank him for allowing us to eat in his establishment. the manager was rude, condescending, and used inappropriate language when speaking with me, and then decided that because we were 45 min late and were such a large group that he could no longer accommodate us. we had scheduled this as our dinner for our formal and were shocked to learn that they had told us it was no problem at all, and now they couldn't serve us. it is terrible business to hold a reservation for that long turning away customers so that they could accommodate our large party, and then to turn us away as well. they lost a lot of money on this night and caused our group to have to split up and eat separately around savannah. i would not recommend this place to anyone due to the terrible customer service and an unprofessional manager.
