great hangout. awesome fish tacos, and the fish and chips are authentic to the british style. we love the outdoor seating and the outside bar means that you don't have to wait for your drink. the waitresses here have always been prompt and the food comes out quick. our new hangout again. we missed you churchhill's!

passes the pub test. pretty much as good a facsimile of the british pub as you can get in the us (and they can be dire!)
friendly, efficient seating and service in a pleasant environment (inside or on the somewhat limited but still very welcome roof terrace). i have tried the fish and chips and found it good, though not stellar (seriously, truly great uk fish and chips can be transcendental). steak pie is great though a pukkah steak and kidney pie would be great, though probably a lousy seller. perhaps it could be an under the counter item! ;) bread pudding is very good, blackberry crumble is divine!
beer is great if a tad over-chilled, but that is nit-picking - these people have to make money in the us market - but certainly the guinness (complete with shamrock in the 'head') is sublime.
in short, drink here, eat here, leave a happier person (and a tip!)

tourist trap. very mediocre british fare (which isn't world renowned to begin with).

i had the bangers and mash with collard greens. the "bangers" (sausages) were a disgrace. essentially flavorless and either boiled or baked. yuk. accompanied by light brown tasteless floury sauce that was more like old paste than gravy. double yuk.

the collard greens were almost good - they weren't made by anybody black from the south - but most likely some charlatan wannabe.....

i won't ding them here (that would be unfair - they are what they are) but i sure won't go back there for a meal and suggest you spend your money elsewhere unless you need a brutish vibe fix.

fish tacos were amazing! i usually don't like fish tacos and went out of my comfort zone. glad i did! big bar hang out at night. cool place!

great bartenders, good food, cozy and fun.. they make a passable pim's #1, the bar staff is friendly, the selection is great and the food is not your average british fare... the toad in a hole was quite good, and unusual for pubs in the us.

nachos were terrible, fake cheese & soggy chips. other apps were fine, tho

dinner in the underground. we held a rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding at churchill's just this past weekend. working with mark royston and his staff was so easy -- they were helpful and accommodating every step of the way. our wedding planner arranged floral bouquets with lots of candles on the tables, which gave the cozy space a romantic ambiance. the food and service were both great. i'd recommend this spot highly for a gathering of this type!

love it!. i love churchill's! best fish and chips i have ever had! i also love the rooftop bar which has a georgia pie, one of my favorite drinks! the bartenders downstairs don't know it, it's soo odd. but thankfully, they will go upstairs and either get it or get the recipe to make it!

cool. the shepherd's pie and fish and chips are yums and they have a good selection of beers.

great pub! above average pub food and selection. wonderful beer selection with rotating beer taps...will return.

if you want english plates come here. very good food and drinks. service is good. bread pudding and creme brûlée is awesome. very cool atmosphere and roof top area is nice too. always go here.

their food is delicious and the prices are really good. $20 special for a three course meal. i got the shepherds pie and my wife ordered the bangers and mash. both ere very good. this is now one of my favorite restaurants and i can't wait to try everything else on the menu. their kitchen is open until 1 am.

get the bread pudding! best dessert i've had at a restaurant!

reliably good food.. i'm in savannah 3 days a month, and i have at least one meal @ churchills. consistently good food and service. if the terrace is open, take advantage of it. my favorites are the shepards pie and bangers n mash.
