chopsticks is a very famous little restaurant that's located on the bustling mall road of manali. its famous for its authentic chinese, tibetan and japanese cuisine. the quantity served is more for 3 people and thetasteis beyond amazing. we decided to try some chinese food and heres a detailed description of the different foods .

1. chicken steamed momos - 10 pieces of chicken steamed momos served with red chili chutney was just mouth melting. the momos were steamed to perfection and the quantity was fulfilling for 2 people. the momos were less spicy and subtle.

2. schezwan fried chicken - deep fried chciken in schezwan sauce and served with spring onions. the portion was huge and the chicken was spicy. a good option to enjoy in the cold weather of manali.

3. chopstick special chicken chowmein - noodles tossed with stir fried veggies mixed with chicken and garnished with fried eggs. the noodles were perfectly cooked and thetastewas different with the eggs added on top of it.

it was a delicious affair at this famous restaurant and a must visit when in mall road.

one of the most over hyped restaurant. we ordered veg momos, veg manchurian, honey chilli potato and schezwan fried rice. fried rice didn't hadtasteof schezwan and felt like pulao. momos chutney had notasteand was only paste of red chillis. manchurian balls were undercooked. every dish was flavorless. chilli potato were some overcooked and some were undercooked. not expected this type of food from a 4.1 rated restaurant.

being a connoisseur for tibetian and asian cuisine this was in my “to-go” list for a long time.

glad that i could be at this place for a delicious meal in manali.

food: 4.5/5
service: 4/5
ambience :4/5
vfm :4/5

these are some of the must tries at this place. do not miss out on the undeniable dim-sum experience.

1. vegetable thukpa : a tibetan delight! it is basically noodle soup, finished with mild burmese and tibetian flavours and that puretasteof freshly cooked spring vegetables that fall in.

2. jasmine tea : another masterpiece. am not a regular tea person, so this was actual a great beverage for me. for all tea lovers this is a definite delight.

3. vegetable mizutaki : this is a japanese hot-pot. well steamed vegetables with tofu in a mild soupy base with minimum spice ( add spices as per yourtaste). healthy food fanatics like me, this is paradise.

4. spinach and cheese dim-sums: nothing much to describe. just amazing !

the authentic tibetan vibe with the lanterns and lights coming up always hits in the evening. so if you have the time visit after sunset.

service is amazing with all the staff and the managers themselves helping customers out for new dishes to try.

don’t miss out on this gem of a place on the packed mall road of manali.

worst experience ever..
i have ordered
- hot n sour chicken soup
- thupka
- chicken momos
- mutton momos
totally disappointed with the food offered.
hot n sour soup and thupka were filled with tomato, i have never seen tomato in hot n sour soup andtastewas below average.
mutton momos had no mutton filling in it and outer covering was raw.
chicken momos were average.
it was a nightmare. don't waste your hard earned money try other places for better chinese food.

had a lot of expectations from this place. the food is extremely averagetastewise and i am being generous when i say average. tourists should choose better to make their dining experience really good. i found it not worth visiting second time.
we had
chicken starter- quantity sufficient for 4-5 people. average taste.
prawn with fries and salad- 6 pieces of prawn that costs more than 700/-.poor taste, waste of money.
dessert- hello to the queen. the banana ruined the dessert that could've turned out to be better.
other- spring roll, tofu and noodles- average taste.
really really disappointed.

we went there in the month of february . yet it was a crowded place . we got our table after 10-15 min of waiting . servers were too busy and took around 20-25 min to attend us . we ordered sushi , chicken schnitzel , jumbo prawns , bottle of wine and beer . though all went nice buttasteof chicken schnitzel was horrible. it was like just chicken fried gram-flour batter with 100 times used oil . advisable to look around other restaurant available nearbuy .

the food is really good, tasteis excellent and portion is generous. the chilli chicken dry is a must have. the sea food is good but the fried dishes are oily although a very well recommended place and the dumplings are excellent as expected but chutney could have been better.

went to this place for trying something new. place is good, ambience and interiors are great. a lot of people line up for a place at the restaurant. small cost place. we ordered the chicken gyathuk and grilled fish, chips and salad. chicken ghathuk was good, broth was awesome. fish preparation was good buttastewas not so great. felt some uneasiness. had a bottle of locally made strawberry wine and also packed one bottle to carry. then asked the owner if it will be cheaper if i took it from outside, owner obliged and cancelled the extra bottle. then walked over 1.5km to my hotel with my wife. vommitted all the food in 4-5 times visit to the washroom throughout the night. and my wife vommitted also in the morning. seemed to be something in the food, can't confirm anything. no idea what went wrong. can't give more than 2 stars.

a nice and busy little place. cannot get over their exceptional chinese lamps yet.
ordered a beer, apple cider, mutton shapta dry, chicken momos and custard with fruits.
the beer was the regular tuborg and apple cider was good too.
they only serve the 650ml ones though! in fact we were looking for a glass each.
the mutton shapta was excellent. tasty well marinated meat with capsicum and onions with chilli. a nice chops like serving.

chicken momos had a doughy thick texture with the filling tasting like a thawed mixture after freezing for sometime. wasn't as i expected and the blandtastewas a let down.
custard was warm and nice.
service is good. at 1200 rupees it'd reasonable if the momos were good.
surprisingly i had to request for a gst bill! else handwritten minus gst!!!

in the chilly weather of manali, this one located at the prime location of mall road gives a clear respite to the numbing cold. it is a haven for indo-chinese fanatic & japanese food. it’s a must visit place if you’re a non vegetarian.
ambience: super cozy. & really cute. it’s small yet spacey. 3.9/5
food: though the monchow soup was really appealing hot and sour couldn’t do it’s regular magic. everything has its uniquetaste& is worth trying. 3.5/5
staff: informed and friendly. 4/5
value for money: total pocket friendly.

located on mall road manali, this pan asian restaurant is the hot favorite of the locals and the tourist alike.

we ordered tom yum soup, thupka, pan fried noodles, chopsuey, chilli chicken followed by ice cream.

all the items had uniquetasteand were prepared really well. since cuisine is authentic chinese, its quite different from the everyday chinese food joints across india which tend to make most thingstastesimilar and spicy.

some of the cons
1) there was a quite a waiting time for the order to be served.
2) a big no go place for pure vegetarians as vegetarian dishes lacked anytasteand were totally bland.
