team it was our 2nd visit to your restaurant. i liked everything fromfoodto ambience. just one thing spoiled the moment - you asked for a tip directly and that too instead asking me first, you pointed the payment terminal with the pre-selected option to enter the amount that i would like to pay as tip. atleast have courtesy to first ask if someone is ready to pay tip and then you go ahead.

chopsticks is a very famous little restaurant that's located on the bustling mall road of manali. its famous for its authentic chinese, tibetan and japanese cuisine. the quantity served is more for 3 people and the taste is beyond amazing. we decided to try some chinesefoodand heres a detailed description of the different foods .

1. chicken steamed momos - 10 pieces of chicken steamed momos served with red chili chutney was just mouth melting. the momos were steamed to perfection and the quantity was fulfilling for 2 people. the momos were less spicy and subtle.

2. schezwan fried chicken - deep fried chciken in schezwan sauce and served with spring onions. the portion was huge and the chicken was spicy. a good option to enjoy in the cold weather of manali.

3. chopstick special chicken chowmein - noodles tossed with stir fried veggies mixed with chicken and garnished with fried eggs. the noodles were perfectly cooked and the taste was different with the eggs added on top of it.

it was a delicious affair at this famous restaurant and a must visit when in mall road.

this is a small restaurant in old manali that serves authentic asian food. we had a very good experience & the staff also tries to get you a table as soon as possible even though this place can get a bit crowded since it’s situated in mall road, center of manali.

we opted for some chinesefood& were super hungry, the order came in a decent time.

2. chilli garlic noodles
3. chilli garlic gravy
4. sweet lime soda
we were 3 & thefoodwas quite sufficient for us. thefoodwas quite good 😍

experience was not good. we ordered iced tea which tasted like nimbu paani and strawberry milkshake which was only water. had to rely on coke later.foodwas bland. sizzlers were dry.

we ordered diced chicken and drums of heaven which were okay but the worstfoodwas chicken sizzler and prawns fried rice!
it was so bland we were literally eating plain rice with fries and fried chicken chunks not even a spoon of gravy or something !
and then comes the prawn fried rice, it was bland than sizzler we have never ate such type of fired rice literally prawns were boiled and plain rice ! who does this ?!
plus the staff was rude on that, they had this self service system which was acceptable but if someone is asking to serve this is not a response which a customer expects in any restro !
overall a bad experience and worthlessfood!

overall ambience is very good. thefoodquality is good and many improvements can still be done.
talumin soup is recommened to drink .avoid there chicken that is in ball shape. it doesnt tastes so good and the odour even is a bit foul. but otherwise the place serves goodfood. the staff is very good

one of the worst restaurants i have ever been. the receptionist's on the second floor was horrible. not just as a tray trotter , just as a human he is like those middle aged, always-irritated, can't-speak-english, lazy fellow. he doesn't bring the card swipe machine to the table , he just asks 'upar aake deke ja'. that's how cheap he is. never head to this place.
coming tofood- it was okay. the interior is much ordinary compared to the exterior. absolutely cheap place.

one of the most over hyped restaurant. we ordered veg momos, veg manchurian, honey chilli potato and schezwan fried rice. fried rice didn't had taste of schezwan and felt like pulao. momos chutney had no taste and was only paste of red chillis. manchurian balls were undercooked. every dish was flavorless. chilli potato were some overcooked and some were undercooked. not expected this type offoodfrom a 4.1 rated restaurant.

being a connoisseur for tibetian and asian cuisine this was in my “to-go” list for a long time.

glad that i could be at this place for a delicious meal in manali.

these are some of the must tries at this place. do not miss out on the undeniable dim-sum experience.

1. vegetable thukpa : a tibetan delight! it is basically noodle soup, finished with mild burmese and tibetian flavours and that pure taste of freshly cooked spring vegetables that fall in.

2. jasmine tea : another masterpiece. am not a regular tea person, so this was actual a great beverage for me. for all tea lovers this is a definite delight.

3. vegetable mizutaki : this is a japanese hot-pot. well steamed vegetables with tofu in a mild soupy base with minimum spice ( add spices as per your taste ). healthyfoodfanatics like me, this is paradise.

4. spinach and cheese dim-sums: nothing much to describe. just amazing !

the authentic tibetan vibe with the lanterns and lights coming up always hits in the evening. so if you have the time visit after sunset.

service is amazing with all the staff and the managers themselves helping customers out for new dishes to try.

don’t miss out on this gem of a place on the packed mall road of manali.

this extremely famous restaurant for chinese / tibetan / japanesefoodin manali, and therefore made it a point to visit. but disappointed both on account of customer service and food.

the customer service was abysmal, and the person catering us was impolite and not considerate. providing an instance, we ordered for fresh lime water (sweet & salty, cold but no ice), but when we got the drink it was only sweet and at room temperature. when asked to fix the drink, the person catering us said that we can do it ourselves by adding some salt. that was really inconsiderate.

now coming to the food, barring the starters (spring roll, momos, honey chilli potato) and the mushroom soup, the other items were way mediocre for the place and given how popular it is

this is restaurant staff is very arrogant,foodis pathetic. after havingfood- my stomach is upset and started vomating. in a single word this restaurant is taboo

i regret eating at this restaurant! will definitely not recommend this to anyone. i ordered schezwan chilly chicken, veg sweet corn soup, veg spring rolls and wanton soup.foodwas blank and tasteless, staff and owner were not open to feedback and challenged that i can go ahead and post my review on trip advisor, zomato, etc. this is overrated restaurant in mall road, manali.

totally disappointed with thefoodoffered.
hot n sour soup and thupka were filled with tomato, i have never seen tomato in hot n sour soup and taste was below average.
mutton momos had no mutton filling in it and outer covering was raw.
chicken momos were average.
it was a nightmare. don't waste your hard earned money try other places for better chinese food.

had a lot of expectations from this place. thefoodis extremely average taste wise and i am being generous when i say average. tourists should choose better to make their dining experience really good. i found it not worth visiting second time.

chicken starter- quantity sufficient for 4-5 people. average taste.
prawn with fries and salad- 6 pieces of prawn that costs more than 700/-.poor taste, waste of money.
dessert- hello to the queen. the banana ruined the dessert that could've turned out to be better.
other- spring roll, tofu and noodles- average taste.
really really disappointed.
