a great chinese outlet located convenially on the mall road. the place is a bit cosy since it's not spacious enough but the ambient light and environment is good if you are boozing. the food takes a bit of time to arrive but the quality and quantity based on the price is quite good. the food was delicious. the staff is quite amicable as well. overall a nice enough place to dine or lunch at.

we have had chicken and egg sandwiches; sweet corn soup with chicken; potato, chicken and mutton momos here. food was very average. momos were sometimes below the average. we found mutton momos to be smelly. soup was nice. plentiful of chicken and corn were there. service was not so prompt. albeit of all these negative things, ambience of the restaurant was somehow very nice.

they are the best to offer chinese and japanese food to you in this area. the seating is neat clean and has an aroma that reminds you of great tibetan restaurants. i love their potato momos or chicken momos. they also have great gyoza options to try.

it was a nice and cozy place to sit and prices were really less expensive regardless of a tourist place. they have varieties of food to order and of different cultures. we ordered mutton shapta and some famous bread ( forgot the name) along with some budweiser, however i felt mutton was not cooked well. all over a good place to experiment with food.

it was a delightful experience, i was with my friends and first of all we ordered momos steemed and fried both and no one can complaint about momos, i had butter tea i really don't know what to say it was with very blend taste of butter and a little bit of tea flavor.

we ordered one mutton tukpa , chicken tukpa and chickne shorba and quantity was as good enough .

one of the best restaurants in manali to visit for authentic tibetan food. the fried momos and thukpa are amazing, especially the chopsticks special thukpa. i love the decor, it gives one the feeling like you walked into china town. a confused playlist comprising of english classics, american top current hits and bollywood, but fun, nonetheless!

do you love chinese, japanese or tibetan food? if yes then this is the place to visit at manali.

this restaurant located at mall road and very easy to find, because place is quite popular.

they also serve liquor, so yeah in the cool weather hot & spicy food and a glass of wine is a perfect combination.

we tried chopstick special fried rice and yaki gyoza (its a japanese dish). i tried yaki gyoza first time and i really liked it. it was like dumplings with different flavor. it was filled with veggies, cheese and paneer and served with dammmm spicy garlic chutney.
fried rice was also delicious, taste was completly different.

p.s. your serving is too slow. otherwise i love the food and place 👍👍

this is one of the best restaurants to experience traditional regional cuisine i.e momos & thupka. also trout fish (unfortunately didn’t get a chance to have) but the food quality and quantity is amazing. as a tour leader i recommended it to almost all my guests as well and they came back positive and relishing the flavours. anytime i ever visit manali again this food stop is on my top choices. well they also serve beer so yeah, cheers

we kind of figured out that the place must be quite popular owing to the full occupancy it had even at around 11pm.. it is located right in the heart of the mall road of manali and if one feels like exploring some chinese, tibetan or japanese cuisine then this is definitely the place to go
they even serve chilled beer and wine which one can enjoy as the chef prepares the dish
we tried some special chopstick noodles which were slightly pan fried and served with gravy and lot of veggies.. i'm not a great noodle fan yet this simple oriental dish got over within a few minutes

i was here last month june 18 visiting my relatives. i wss scrolling through pics then i was reminded of it. well place is filled with people most of the time. ambiance of the place is good. time for ordering and receiving the order takes too much time and once the my order was momos+ thupka+vegetable tempura+cold drink.
everything was average taste. tempura is a japanese dish when i was in japan i had this dish and it was damn tasty but here it was less of tempura more of pakora. bit a disappointing. well we have to experience everything thats what makes us foodie.

second picture is of locality.

again, one of the main restaurants on the main mall road in manali. hard to miss and definitely worth a visit. although the owner and his son are really sweet chaps, the waiters are damn khadus. they were barely taking the time to explain or recommend dishes. not a worry, the group had a revered food writer – the burgerlord with them to save the day / meal. before i start i would advise that the dishes should be ordered one after the other provided you can finish the first dish.

the portions are ginormous!. reminding me of a famous chinese (slurrrppp) restaurant chain in mumbai who’s food portions are almost “5” times normal. kidding back to the food!. we ordered and enjoyed (but were unable to finish), fried potato fritters (8/10), chicken wanton soup (9/10), plain veg hakka noodles (8/10), veg rice noodles (9/10), veg steamed momos (9/10 – speciality in manali), veg garvy in hunan sauce (9/10), veg gravy in black bean sauce (7/10 – something went wrong but couldn’t figure out whether it was a cooking issue or a jumbled up ingredients issue). of course the beers flowed along with the eats. overall a nice family restaurant.

too many cooks spoil the broth..

too many entree's spoil the customer, or was it confuse?

chopsticks is a pretty well known place as such, well know as in i have heard about it from people visiting manali, maybe it's the lack of a food exploring spirit that has made this place famous.

right on the mall road, dressed in red, the place will draw you close like a siren, but is the food really worth it? that's a big question.

frankly, no, not really. it's not bad or gut wrenching, but it's not something out of the blue. the promise of tibetan food is better fulfilled in places like darjeeling. manali should stick to it's kush
