lovely dinner. i had my first meal on dec. 27, 2013 at chive with family who are great fans of all the family restaurants.
we were not disappointed in the service with the place fully filled with customers.
it is an upscale spot, with nifty lighting, a charlie chan movie showing ( silent) and well-staged seating. our crowd had a large table in thebackand were able to hear one another after the owner most politely visited with us and turned down the music which had a speaker by us.
my salad was perfect, with mango and arugula. i had the small potion of one half a lobster and orzo that was delicious, and i was sorry that i had ordered the smaller portion. i finished off the she crab soup my husband had ordered that had some bits of crab shell in it that he could not be bothered with but did not stop me from finishing it. he did add sherry, but i am sure that it was fine without it. my daughter had her favorite, octopus, not fried, but i did not try it, maybe next time with two glasses of wine!
a lovely experience. goingbacksoon with friends.
