as good as it gets. chef maritiza catered an event for me at a local university.: ceviche, lomo saltado, aji de gallina, papa rellena - all famous dishes, typical of fine peruvian food. the experienced ceviche fans in the groups said it was the finest they ever tasted. the lomo saltado - a beef tenderloin dish - was a big hit. i've been to peru and this is the real deal - as good as it gets anywhere - including downtown lima at the upscale restaurants.

while this may sound like exotic food, the potato and meat dishes will appeal to the average wisconsinite and the ceviche will appeal to the slightly more adventurous palate. my very traditional wisconsin relatives love chef maritza's dishes as do my friends from latin america.

the prices are very competitive given the quality and portion size. a meal of this quality would easily cost you double the price if you were downtown or on the east side. i guarantee, you will not be disappointed.

delicious, unique and affordable. we really enjoyed chef paz restaurant, which just opened in west. the food was delicious, beautifully presented, unique and affordable. the service was also excellent. we particularly loved the ceviche appetizer and the jalea (fried seafood and yucca) entree. we also enjoyed a tasty peruvian beverage called chicha morada, which is made of purple corn, pineapple, cinnamon and sugar. they have a large menu and there were many other things we wanted to try, so we will definitely be back!
