charlie & jake's bar-b-que

beach side charlie and jakes is not the same. i have to say my last experience at charlie and jakes on beachside was terrible.
the ribs were tuff,,not falling off the bone like it use to be.. the rub they used was to spicy hot
the beans tasted like campbell.s pork and beans with some of there pulled pork in it.
there chicken was dry. what happened?
i use to go frequently. but since it has been under new ownership he has changed everything that made charlie and jakes great!
what happened to charlie and jakes when you couldn't even get in the door. you need to get thatbackand gobackto basis.

new place opened across the street from old place.  too big, very loud.  not vegetarian-friendly at all.  the only thing i could eat non-meat was the shrimp which was way too fried and took way too long to come out.  ok i get it this is a barbeque place and there's lots of meat but when you are w/ a group there's bound to be a vegetarian.  take note charlie n jakes !!  i won't bebackif the menu does not change and the service does not speed it up.

great meat!. vacationing from new england. wanted to try a little bit of everything . got the mini combo with pulled pork, ribs and pulled turkey. loved the pork and ribs.. turkey was good but a bit to fatty for my taste. hush puppies ... yum! homemade baked beans delicious! will def comeback1 more time before heading home.

don't want to eat anywhere else. best food i have ever had. the ribs are fall off the bone, the pork is the best. smoked prime rib i could eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and never get tired of it. they have lots of different sides to choose from and takes you almost 5 minutes to decide which ones you want. the wait staff is super friendly and never miss a beat. even when the whole dining room in full! don't be confused by the posers trying to be like this one over the bridge but this one is the best, above all the rest. trust me, give this place a try. you'll love it and find your self comingbackalmost every day

totally disgusting mac and cheese taste like chemical processed cheese green beans water logged no taste pork no seasoning also water logged bbq sauce is a joke portion size take out is laughable i think a mc rib has more spices and flavor and they are gross! the staff rude and the forgot to give me part of my order after i reminded her to give me my credit cardbackoh yea soggy not crispy old grease tasting fried pickles! this place is nothing like the one in viera it's a disappointment!

yum!. pork, turkey, chicken and ribs were all amazing! all meats were very juicy, smoky, and flavorful. my boyfriend, 18 month old and i immensely enjoyed our hush puppies and fried pickles too. it was so busy we had to sit on the patio but it was nice out. baked beans were extra yummy. friendly staff. will totally bebacksoon!

bringbackthe smaller portions. i used to eat here once or more per week but stopped when the smaller portions were taken off the menu. above average barbecue.

extremely delicious barb-b-que sauces. best barb-b-que sauces i have ever eaten. the blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream is great when they haven't sold out. bringingbackthe in-house made lemonade would be a great addition to their menu.

literally falling off the bone tender. my family and i went to dustin's barbecue on wickham rd for many years before starting to go to charlie and jake's. i would like to invent a time machine to gobackand tell myself to come here instead. not that dustin's is terrible, mind you, but the prices and meat here are so much better, and they have some truly authentic sides.

the restaurant is situated next to the texas roadhouse, but any mouthwatering aromas in that general vicinity definitely come from the smoker behind charlie and jake's.

i had never before experienced ribs that were literally fall off the bone tender before. the food here is spectacular, and incredibly well-priced. none of the sides i've gotten so far have been disappointing, but the hush puppies are definitely a standout. they're worth getting as an entire side order. i highly recommend this restaurant. spend your money at a wonderful local place rather than one of the giant mediocre chains.
