carousel creamery brings you a 360 degree turn with its 115 ice cream flavors (if all the display cases are filled). there's a flavor for everybody. they just need to work on more sugar-free flavors that would be good for my diabetic mom.

i got the chili chocolate flavor. nice amount of spicy heat with the semi-sweet fudgy chocolate flavor.
best to get a triple scoop at php200 and share it with family and friends to save php55 rather than get 3 single scoops.

parking is just challenging as well as getting a table. but the staff is really friendly and willing to help you out.

this place makes me feel like a kid let loose in a toy store. so much fun and excitement in tasting a huge variety of flavors and surprising yourself with liking unorthodox ones. yes it's pricier than most other ice cream places but i think it's only fair to reward their creativity and freedom to taste every one of their ice cream flavors. been here twice. will be back to try the more flavors.

one of the reasons why i keep coming back would be their wide selection of flavors. aside from the classic flavors, they also have interesting flavors like gin and juice, chicharon and beer, etc.

i had one of their bestsellers watermelon, which features an interesting mix of flavor. for someone who's not fond of anything that's too sweet, this flavor is just up my alley and i love how it doesn't sacrifice on flavor. i also had chocolate orange, which was an unlikely combination for me, but it tastes sooo good!

what attracted me the most about this place is the variety of flavors to choose from -- the number really gave me a hard time to chose which one would i get! the staff was very accommodating to the very indecisive people (like me) most especially when it comes to the free tasting of ice cream. their ice cream speaks quality (it's so thick and creamy!). try it out guys!

ps
they have this interesting flavor called kryptonite. so cool.

carousel has always been our go-to ice cream parlor whenever we find ourselves in greenhills because it has unique flavors that you can’t find anywhere! these are the flavors we’ve already tried so far.
🎶 cookie dough 🍪 for the little one— not enough cookie bits but yummy nonetheless 🤤
🎶 barley tea ☕️ for the oldest— it tastes like haagen daas coffee ice cream for some reason 🧐
🎶 maple and bacon 🥓 for me— practically my go-to ice cream flavor there 😅 the maple flavor was sweet, creamy and the bacon added a nice touch of saltiness to it.
🎶 double espresso chocolate chip: fudgy and creamy, with just the right sweetness.

my friend recommended and accompanied me here because she knows that i love icecream. we went here on a friday night as a group. the place at that time was not crowded so we had a chance to do a taste test. i'm so overwhelmed and tasted i think 8 flavors in a row! i love their idea to keep the store as simple as possible and the only thing that adds color is their icecream.

i tried the green tea, the green tea flavor is so strong so if you're really not into tea i will not recommend it. the chocolate chili, i love the experimentation on this one, dark chocolate and chili, you will not taste any jalapeño flavor in it just the chili effect so don't worry plus the chocolate is good. cheese and bacon, i didn't taste any flavor of bacon in it but i saw a few bits, the vanilla icecream and cheese is good though, maybe putting extra bacon would help.

will i come back? a big yes! i want to try them all.

i host a youtube food show and we were lucky enough to meet its owner/gm, lincoln cheong, and experience carousel creamery and all it has to offer. and boy, this place sets the bar high, really high.

lincoln explained to us that they live by the "small batch" process of making ice cream. just like the term suggests, the ice cream is made in small batches and given a great deal of attention from creation to it being served to the customer. you can taste the quality and the care that goes into each and every flavor of ice cream they offer.

and speaking of flavors, they've got about 100+ in-house for your choosing. don't be afraid though because the staff are well-trained and extremely helpful. some notable flavors we came across during our visit:

-"honey lavender" - in the words of my gf "it tastes like france". sounds odd, but it's so accurate with the use of real honey and lavender steeped into the ice cream.
-"lychee" - creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. the chunks of fresh lychee were really refreshing to bite into.
-"tamarind chili sorbet" - they served me a sample of it with a sprinkle of salt. i kid you not, it felt like i was eating one of those salty, spicy tamarind candies of my childhood.

pros
-with 100+ flavors on deck, you're bound to find one that you like.
-a+ to the helpful and very accommodating staff.
-ice cream line-up is never the same and you can make suggestions if you don't see a flavor on the menu that you'd like to see in the future.

cons
-none. just wish i could taste all the flavors in one visit!

i've heard of this fantabulous ice cream place from friends, posts and here in zomato. finally went since we had a movie premiere happening at promenade.

the location is just in front of promenade mall. the area of carousel creamery adds more restaurants on an already populated area for similar establishments.

upon seeing the vast 101 choices, i felt like a kid again. the three of us started at the very end moving inch by inch and sampling as much as we could. i was shy of course to try too many flavors.

the variation is interesting. there are types that i've never heard and a number were unimaginable even. try chicharon and beer for instance. wild.

so we got two flavors each, voted on it and got 6 total one scoops. each one has a real distinct flavor. the names tells so much on what's dominant in it.

so we had bailey's, red bean, peanut butter and jelly, salted caramel, butter pecan and cranberry chocolate. my personal favorites are bailey's and pbj. the former had a real alcoholic kick in it with a sweet attraction. the latter has real creamy presence of peanut butter with strong infusion of jelly.

when there's an overwhelming presence of restaurants today, this place wows and satisfies. no wonder it's being talked about.

go-to dessert place whenever in greenhills area!

i love the variety of flavors they offer, to the point that they have weird ones you'll never dream of as ice cream flavors such as beer & chicharon and bacon & cheese.

flavors with base of dark chocolate, avocado, or matcha are my favorites. but the best flavor for me is the carrot cake (which i think they've phased out already, haven't seen it for months 😭😭😭).
