was here last night and what a gem of a find this was...
the service is great the ambiance of a village tavern, the live music was amazing a perfect place for a boozyjazzfilled evening.

the beef and potatoes were scrumptious but the scene stealer was the seafood glass noodles, it was an explosion of freshness and flavour simply soul food.

they showed the fa cup finals on the big screen and were extremely courteous and served with a smile.

in my 15 years of goan holidays this is one of my true finds...

went there on a monday night which is also ajazznight. this place gave me nightmares just by the number of people who were stuffed in this there even in covid times. zero social distancing, a messy short-staffed bar with long queues, tables placed extremely close to each other and to top it all people dancing in an anyways over crowded space. couldn't stand to stay there and we just left the place as soon as we could.

the food - this was so bland that after the starters i just didn’t wanna risk ordering any mains or desserts...

the seating - the expectation was to squeeze in together on a tiny bench for 2 people which was so uncomfortable.... so when booking please request a table with chairs and not benches.

not family friendly as the crowd was more of youngsters who enjoyed smoking and drinking, so wouldn’t recommend families with kids.

the ambience - is chilled out and dark and we did go for the mondayjazznight which was pleasant .... is it the best in goa ??? wouldn’t be able to vouch for that cause honestly i had nothing to compare this to in goa.

service - nothing special.

value for money - for 4 bland starters and 4 alcoholic drinks i paid close to 3000 bucks so i was not happy.

i just gave one star for the sake of giving some credit. we went to this place only after reading some blogs stating that it is one of the best place forjazzand good food. when we reached the location it was far away from busy calangute area. we had some doubts regarding it being good. still we went ahead thinking maybe it will surprise us. we started by ordering chicken spring roll. it was aweful as no chicken we found in there. now let me come to the music. it was ajazzmonday. i think who ever had earlier reviewed on it having some good music was either drunk or really had some bad taste in music. or maybe they were paid for it. i am very sorry to say that the place needs to revamp in a big way to meet standards as mentioned in blogs (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.gqindia.com/content/best-live-music-venues-near-me-in-goa-panjim-candolim-morjim-anjuna-benaulim-vagator-baga-beach/amp/).

loved this place. discovered it through a friend's recommendation. the vibe of the place is too good. thejazzis to die for. and the food is delicious. the staff is hospitable. this has become one of my favorite places in goa and i will definitely visit it whenever i am in goa the next time!

just love this place, cozy restaurant in middle of sleepy neighbourhood. loved the food and sangria. very courteous and friendly staff. loved thejazzmusic night(live). deserves 5*. a must visit if you love cafes’ style restaurant.

this is a hidden gem which i was able to trace during my r&d on the internet. a portuguese mansion convert, this place was absolutely lovely to spend my birthday evening. on mondays they have a livejazzperformance on the upper floor. they also have screens set up for sports afficionados. i hope they increase the food options as it was really limited. cantare is more of a place to unwind, grab your glass of wine, listen to some good music and have great conversations

i visited cantare with a few friends on a visit to goa last week. we ordered the thai green chicken curry, pork feijoada, phad thai chicken noodles and the signature cantare spicy chicken burger. every single dish was spot-on delicious (to the point of absurdity, honestly). the ambiance and decor are fantastic. there was livejazzand the musicians were playing some absolute classics. the wholesome dining experience, that too with such a reasonably priced menu, is to die for.

i would call this a hidden gem. thisjazzspecial restaurant impressed me with the lovely performance on a monday evening when rest of the goa was pretty much resting.

its so difficult to find this place and while you are entering the place, you will never expect the restaurant like this to exist here. what an amazing stunning place, as said livejazzmusic, sitting in patio is better as the ambiance is just stunning. food is amazing too. i loved this place and was a to do restaurant in goa. will definitely recommend and try this again.

cantare at calangute, saligao goa is famous for the livejazzband on monday evening. an old wooden goan house, converted into a restaurant. climbing the wooden staircase itself gives the feel of portuguese era.

happened to be in goa on monday so went there with friends suggested by them as they are the residents of goa. thejazzband was playing and the house was full, luckily got the place to sit outside the main hall. the weather was pleasant and the atmosphere was lively.

enjoyed the wine along with cold cut salad, chicken caeser salad, hummus with bread.

i've been to goa several times. not once, but several times during the year. i was taken to this amazing, sneaked out place by one my friends who has been living in goa for over 3 months now. the word is amazing, greatjazzmusic and live bands is what you can expect from your visit to this place. some of the must haves from the visit include calamari, prawns and the super juicy beef burger. would definitely recommend and some here for during my next visit.
