somewhat of a sketchy address on decatur but if you want something different this could be your spot.  thefoodis better than you think with the jamaican chicken being an a. drinks are also good. the music can be loud and hip. 50 and younger likely is the age if you want to enjoy this off beat hipster scene

came & table by far would be my personal favourite restaurant in new orleans, it’s cozy nice ambience dimly lit with a historically southern feel. they have outside seating as well but because it was december we obviously sat indoors. it’s a very unexpected cocktail bar & restaurant in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the french quarters, therefore definitely it stands out for me.

the place is famous and recommended for its cocktail bar and bartenders, they are very professional, friendly and know their poison well. happy hours run till 6pm where they have a separate menu which has drinks under 6$ and you can grab small bites for the same. we tried their absent star, brazilian hardwood, reveille cocktail and the basic jd on rocks. all these cocktails were just perfectly made with right proportions of ingredients, if only i could drink them all i would have.
as for thefoodwe had, crispy brussels sprout, black eye pea hummus, crab chips. for mains we ordered roasted cauliflower, boneless prime ribeye and the gulf fish.
the dishes that i would recommend for a must have is definitely their crispy brussels sprouts i mean they were just the best i have ever had, i actually came back to this place the next day just to have this dish and cocktails.

overall experience was amazing because of the staff, the bartenders, food, drinks the ambience. this place is totally worth a visit.

a lot of hype. we came in with 6 adults and 2 children (6 year old twins), and were charged $38 each, children included, for a fixed menu. the curry chicken was ok, the redfish was good, but none of it was $38 good. i've had much betterfoodfor the price. the "hoppin' john" was just bland black-eyed peas and rice. the kids didn't eat $3.80 worth of food, much less $38. it's criminal to charge that much for kids. the bill came to $417, for a meal that was memorable only for not living up to expectations. not everything that's expensive is good.

this is how you open a restaurant!. the team behind cure and bellocq opened cane and table a few days ago. the drinks are outstanding with fresh ingredients mixed by talented, slightly hipster but absolutely hospitable barmen. my boss colada was so good i ordered a second. thefoodis hearty but not greasy. we split the chicharones and ropa vieja with skillet greens and rice and peas and enjoyed every bite.

the interior is the perfect mix of elegance and decay. i love the white marble bar, the exposed brick walls and chandeliers. they say that the first time you go to a restaurant you go for thefoodbut you return for the service. i look forward to returning to cane and table again and again for both.
