somewhat of a sketchy address on decatur but if you want something different this could be your spot.  the food is better than you think with the jamaican chicken being an a. drinks are also good. the music can be loud and hip. 50 and younger likely is the age if you want to enjoy this off beat hipster scene

came & table by far would be my personal favourite restaurant in new orleans, it’s cozy nice ambience dimly lit with a historically southern feel. they have outside seating as well but because it was december we obviously sat indoors. it’s a very unexpected cocktail bar & restaurant in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the french quarters, therefore definitely it stands out for me.

the place is famous and recommended for its cocktail bar and bartenders, they are very professional, friendly and know their poison well. happy hours run till 6pm where they have a separate menu which has drinks under 6$ and you can grab small bites for the same. we tried their absent star, brazilian hardwood, reveille cocktail and the basic jd on rocks. all these cocktails were just perfectly made with right proportions of ingredients, if only i could drink them all i would have.
as for the food we had, crispy brussels sprout, black eye pea hummus, crab chips. for mains we ordered roasted cauliflower, boneless prime ribeye and the gulf fish.
the dishes that i would recommend for a must have is definitely their crispy brussels sprouts i mean they were just the best i have ever had, i actually came back to this place the next day just to have this dish and cocktails.

overall experience was amazing because of the staff, the bartenders, food, drinks the ambience. this place is totally worth a visit.

you may miss cane & table if you walk past this bar/restaurant but should you find this cute, quirky, airy french quarters’ bar, you will definitely be rewarded with a good time. the drinks here are fantastic along with the bar bites, making it the perfect bar to visit during happy hour.

quirky restaurant with unique good food. the service is good, and waitresses are knowledgeable about gluten. they can also give you good wine recommendations. they
probably have the biggest cocktail menu i've ever seen.

we just came back from lovely louisiana and we kinda fell in love with it! the beautiful architecture (reminded us a little bit of puerto rico), the food, and the interesting people (and their southern accents!). it was a very fun trip to say the least. one of our first stops was this restaurant - cane & table - in the french quarter in new orleans.

this is another great recommendation from our buddy mark (so we decided to stop by after venturing to coop’s place for our fried chicken).  we came here during an awkward time… well after lunch and too early for dinner.  so they were only serving small plates. we ordered: peas n rice  ($9) – island peas. local andouille sausage. rice. crispy rum ribs ($17) – p ork. el dorado 3-yr rum. papaya chutney. sambal. avocado salad  ($14) – avocado. jerked crab fingers. pecan smoked salt. marinated cherry tomatoes we knew this place would be good since our friend, mark, had been spot on with his recommendations but we didn’t anticipate how good. the peas n rice small plate was not what we expected…  basically it looked like beans.  we were thinking… did we get the wrong order?  oh well because the beans were bomb!  so flavorful! the avocado salad was refreshing! exactly what we needed for our crispy ribs and beans. last but absolutely not least, the real mvp–the deep-fried ribs. yep. deep-fried. ribs.  fell off the bone.  great sauce that smacks you in the face.  everything i wanted these to be. like i said, we knew this place would be good.  we just didn’t expect this place to serve the most memorable dish of the trip! food:  everything we ordered was excellent!  we can’t stop talking about the ribs! ambience:  we sat in the courtyard area.  super cute spot especially on a warm day.  bar is chic.  dark woods, distressed walls with some exposed brick and emerald-green accents.  we dig it. service:   service with a smile is always a good sign. overall:  ribs were spectacular!  no, this place is not the cheapest but well worth it in my opinion.  some people will have a heart attack when they read $17 for 6 baby ribs… but trust me, they are a must try. get ready for some mind explosion.

a lot of hype. we came in with 6 adults and 2 children (6 year old twins), and were charged $38 each, children included, for a fixed menu. the curry chicken was ok, the redfish was good, but none of it was $38 good. i've had much better food for the price. the "hoppin' john" was just bland black-eyed peas and rice. the kids didn't eat $3.80 worth of food, much less $38. it's criminal to charge that much for kids. the bill came to $417, for a meal that was memorable only for not living up to expectations. not everything that's expensive is good.

go by the street address, there is no sign indicating there is an open business. across the street from margaritaville on decatur. if you love cure, sobou and root, then you will appreciate this establishment.

great service, music too loud to even hear each other speak, or to hear what our sweet server was trying to tell us about the specials. fish of the day and yardbird chicken were two worst meals we've ever had in new orleans.
