pizza, no; ribs, absolutely!. sure, the pizza is bad. with that said, i prefer the ribs at callahan's to any place in kansas city, hands down. they are tender, fall-off-the-bone, flavorful, and well-smoked. callahan's serves them with a wonderfully cold and crisp cole slaw or baked beans teeming with bits of meat. the price is good for the quantity.
the chicken fingers are excellent as well, cooked perfectly and with a wonderful batter. you get a very generous portion with a particularly tasty ranch dipping sauce. completely addictive.
service is usually pretty good, but sometimes the wait staff is a little sluggish about tea refills. the place can be a little loud, but it's a sportsbarand not a french bistro.
