cali n tito's

excellent all around. i've never had anything here i didn't like. much better than standard mexican fare. their avocado salsa is one of the most unique and flavorful salsas i've ever had. thefishburrito is excellent, as is the milanesa cuban sandwich. try the peruvian fajitas with french fries, onions and cilantro in them! i crave this place every time i come to athens. as others have said, be warned: cash only, but i think there is an atm on site. and people need to get over the byob charge: they have to pay for someone to clean up the mess of cans and bottles that get left everywhere.

fish burrito,fishtacos, lomo saltado, avocado salad, plantains. bestfishtacos! i love sitting outside on a picnic table. ask for a side of the habanero hot sauce.......yum

the first word that came to my mind is fish. awesomefishpreparation. the calamari rings were golden brown and delicious. great ambience and well done decor to enjoy with friends on a nice evening.

bestfishtacos, titos burrito, pork tacos, cuban sandwiches, i could go on. everything is wonderful! we love the salsa. it's very chunky and has a heavy cilantro flavor. get a sangria (white or red) they are great. the atmosphere is do much fun and so unique!!

i love cali n titos. i don't see how you couldn't. the restaurant itself is so charming and vibrant. their food is completely affordable and always tastes amazing. my favorite things to get are steak tacos,fishtacos, fries, and a banana smoothie. all superb.

fantastic all around!. i can't say enough good things about cali n tito's. every item on the menu i've had has been fantastic. theirfishtacos are the best in town bar none. their cubans are also the best i've had. the only downside is the wait, but as long as they stay busy and in business i'm ok with it.

had a friend recommend this place as a good lunch stop while traveling through athens. wow, just wow! the prices are very low, the food is delicious, and the hot sauce burns so good.

i ordered afishtaco, chicken taco, and pork taco and was delighted with my choices. thefishand pork tacos were very close to some of the best taco's i've ever eaten. the chicken taco was good but i would recommend pork orfishover chicken hands down. each taco was about $2 making the three of them an incredibly delicious, very filling, affordable lunch.

in addition to great food there were a lot of really good authentic mexican soda's (we went with the grapefruit on and really enjoyed it).

we did not go during a busy time but i could see how the parking and wait could be an issue if it was packed but that is an issue in most of athens (see 2 story coffee house). also make sure to bring cash and be willing to move your dishes when you are finished.

overall, a fancy restaurant this is not. but if you are looking for some incredible food at a great price look no further. i will be back.

superfishtacos. suspect everything on the menu is good, but i ordered thefishtacos the first time i went and they were so good that is what i get everytime i go. they are wonderful.

keeping it simple!. i somehow missed out on cali n tito's during my entire undergrad experience but finally tried it out now that i am back as a grad student. i loved everything about the eclectic and laid-back atmosphere. even though they don't accept credit/debit cards this wasn't a big deal since they do take checks. they didn't have a lot to choose from on their menu, but when i got the food i realized that's what makes them great. they stick to the basics and do them well! my friend had wings and they were great, as were myfishtacos. the servings were hearty and this place is far cheaper than some of the crappier mexican places around town. will definitely be making many trips back!

lunchtime must. love cali n titos. i am here for lunch 3-4 times out of the week. food is quick, good and cheap. never disappoints.

favorites are thefishtacos, cuban sandwiches, wings and more recently, the lomo saltado. oh, and you have to get fries. your meal is just not the same without them!

one of the best latin restaurants in athens by far. fantasticfishtacos and cuban sandwiches.

bring cash. they don't take debit/credit, and for a small fee it is byob. i like thefishtacos. this place has an amazing feel, and it's probably the best place to go eat outside on an amazing day. i am not the biggest cuban food fan, but it is good food.

greatfishtacos. if you want a seat, you better get there early.

cali n tito's. i've given this place multiple chances and i've just never acquired the taste for it. went a few times before uga baseball games and really appreciated the location and convenience of getting to the stadium.

maybe i'm ordering the wrong things but i haven't really liked anything i've ordered. i've tried the chicken and thefishtacos and wasn't a fan of either - also didn't like the taquitos.

really unimpressed that they only take cash and i think it's stupid that they charge people to byob.
