we tried the club panini and the caprese panini for brunch. both were tasty,servicewas friendly and fast - and the prices were reasonable. will have to give the dinner menu a try.

great weekend brunch!. use of high-quality ingredients, diverse menu options and friendlyservicewith views of a beautiful lake make this one of the top spots for a weekend brunch. my favorite is the breakfast burrito...every item (including sides) on the plate is prepared with care and tastes top-notch! the place has improved vastly in recent months and is arguably the best breakfast/lunch local place in town.

don't eat here.  my experience was unacceptable: met family here for brunch- after everyone else at the table was eating, i had to ask twice where my food was.  when it arrived it was cold - the scrambled eggs were overcooked and chewy and the bacon waffle was hard as a rock.  i ate a couple of bites then quit.  no waitress appeared until she was handing out the bills - she said sorry and handed me the bill.  poor customerserviceand poorly prepared food.  we will never eat here again.

disappointing. we have been a patron of murrayhill for several years, but our last 2 visits have been disappointing. they have significantly increased their prices for food as well as wine and theserviceis very uneven. i suspect there is either a new owner or a new manager that needs to pay closer attention to training of both server as well as kitchen staff. too bad, it was one of our favorites.

cafe murry hill is quite a lovely spot. the view is wonderful of the man-made pond. the decor is light and airy perfect for any celebration. the menu is very sophisticated for a “cafe”. i can’t wait to go back and try some or their dinner menu. also i would love to go back for breakfast and sit outside on a warm day. upon our arrival we were told we could sit anywhere we’d like. the restaurant was pretty full at lunch time. overallservicewas average nothing i would scream about but our food did come out in a timely manner and our order was taken promptly. i guess what i’m trying to say is the whole staff could have used a few more smiles. it’s a little uncomfortable dining somewhere when most of the staff is clearly not happy about being at work.

absolutely love it. outstanding especially for oregon standards. breakfast stops @ 3 & dinner starts @ 5.serviceslow but foods worth it! 10 - 20 a plate.

i have been coming here for years. sometimes i like it but most recently i had the worst experience i have ever had there. burnt toast, burnt bacon, eggs over medium came out well done. when i sat down instead of coming over to greet me right away, the waitresses talked to each other behind the counter for 5 mins. i am just sitting there staring at them. 5 mins may not seem like a lot but it actually is! when i asked if they got a new cook, she said no and didn't ask me what else she could do to make my experience more enjoyable. she just wanted to leave the table as quickly as she could and brought me my bill while i was still eating. as a former waitperson for 10 years, and restaurant owner, i would want to know i do not have a staff of rockstar,serviceorientated staff. i understand cooks make mistakes..but they did not handle this well. i really like the location of this place and it would be a lot more successful if they had better servers and more consistency in the food. great coffee!! that is always good.

friday evening at 5:45 and not crowded. our party of 4 got seated right away. our waiter seemed lost throughout the evening andservicewas slow. took 15 minutes to get our check at the end. the app, crab dip, was very good. not your normal creation but a very nice change with artichoke in the dip. the pitas were crispy i loved the salt my wife thought maybe a bit much. mains were all good, pork, turkey, mahi mahi, and turkey. wild rice with mahi mahi was cooked without seasoning. overall more good then bad and we would come back but not right away.

great service, coffee and potatoes, but.... we met with family here, it being my first time. the tableservicewas super and the coffee at $2.50 was great. i ordered one of their $10.50 omelettes as did another in our party. the potatoes were nice but the omelette i do not believe was cooked fresh to order. it consisted of the ingredients heated inside what amounted to a folded egg pancake. all the ingredients were more than likely prepped way ahead of time and just slapped together and warmed until the cheese melted. the egg was on the dry side and very generic, no seasoning, herbs or otherwise. everyone else at the table was satisfied with what came out of the kitchen for them. fyi the basic bloody mary is $8 and on the spicy side, too spicy for my tastes, good thing i just had a sip of someone else's.

good but disappointing !?. i tried the cafe's crab benedict at lunch on tuesday. theservicewas exceptional and the atmosphere friendly, relaxed and clean. the benedict however was not good. i asked for two things - soft eggs and hot sauce - got hard egg and almost no sauce that was barely luke warm. also, they now serve bernaise sauce not tarragon hollandaise. the potatoes were charred beyond recognition - i think they were sweet potatoes but inedible. the coffee was excellent - dark italian roast with robust flavor. i will try them again because of the wonderfulserviceand atmosphere. note: prices are higher than listed on websites.

very nice ambience, great selection of food (try the bacon waffle).servicewas prompt, very kind, personable. food arrived quickly and was good quality. would recommend for a first brunch experience.
