lovely dining. i was finally able to try this restaurant last evening and was really pleased. the ambiance was very nice and our server was prompt and polite. we were able to sit by the window overlooking the little pond with fountain. both my friend and myself enjoyed our suppers. i had the bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes which was very filling and provided the right bit of childhood nostalgia with an adult flair. my friend had the special which was a large ravioli which she enjoyed. i would definitely come again!

absolutely love it. outstanding especially for oregon standards. breakfast stops @ 3 & dinner starts @ 5. service slow but foods worth it! 10 - 20 a plate.

i have been coming here for years. sometimes i like it but most recently i had the worst experience i have ever had there. burnt toast, burnt bacon, eggs over medium came out well done. when i sat down instead of coming over to greet me right away, the waitresses talked to each other behind the counter for 5 mins. i am just sitting there staring at them. 5 mins may not seem like a lot but it actually is! when i asked if they got a new cook, she said no and didn't ask me what else she could do to make my experience more enjoyable. she just wanted to leave the table as quickly as she could and brought me my bill while i was still eating. as a former waitperson for 10 years, and restaurant owner, i would want to know i do not have a staff of rockstar, service orientated staff. i understand cooks make mistakes..but they did not handle this well. i really like the location of this place and it would be a lot more successful if they had better servers and more consistency in the food. great coffee!! that is always good.

better than ruby tueday, but . . .. spendy for what you get. shrimp appetizer lacked flavor. crab cake was good. ceasesr salad was a joke scallops were the better part of the meal with the artichoke-risotto. the butter-squash ravioli was good.

not bad overall, so why my negative vote? two reasons:

first, the "hostess" was unfriendly and should have stayed home. the waiter was trying his best, but lacked any good training. not real attentive. second, it was over-priced. i don't mind spending money if food is a wow. my score is 2/5 and no compelling reason to come back when there are so many other places to try.

friday evening at 5:45 and not crowded. our party of 4 got seated right away. our waiter seemed lost throughout the evening and service was slow. took 15 minutes to get our check at the end. the app, crab dip, was very good. not your normal creation but a very nice change with artichoke in the dip. the pitas were crispy i loved the salt my wife thought maybe a bit much. mains were all good, pork, turkey, mahi mahi, and turkey. wild rice with mahi mahi was cooked without seasoning. overall more good then bad and we would come back but not right away.

great service, coffee and potatoes, but.... we met with family here, it being my first time. the table service was super and the coffee at $2.50 was great. i ordered one of their $10.50 omelettes as did another in our party. the potatoes were nice but the omelette i do not believe was cooked fresh to order. it consisted of the ingredients heated inside what amounted to a folded egg pancake. all the ingredients were more than likely prepped way ahead of time and just slapped together and warmed until the cheese melted. the egg was on the dry side and very generic, no seasoning, herbs or otherwise. everyone else at the table was satisfied with what came out of the kitchen for them. fyi the basic bloody mary is $8 and on the spicy side, too spicy for my tastes, good thing i just had a sip of someone else's.

delicious!. we are regulars here for breakfast. the make 3 different benedict options and they are all delicous! the potatoes are wonderful, the use blue, sweet, and fingerling i believe to make a delightful mix of flavors. the lunch and dinner there is delicious also. the make a tomato citrus soup that is soooo good! the lamg burger was fantastic!

never had a bad menu item here. great job!

good but disappointing !?. i tried the cafe's crab benedict at lunch on tuesday. the service was exceptional and the atmosphere friendly, relaxed and clean. the benedict however was not good. i asked for two things - soft eggs and hot sauce - got hard egg and almost no sauce that was barely luke warm. also, they now serve bernaise sauce not tarragon hollandaise. the potatoes were charred beyond recognition - i think they were sweet potatoes but inedible. the coffee was excellent - dark italian roast with robust flavor. i will try them again because of the wonderful service and atmosphere. note: prices are higher than listed on websites.

very nice ambience, great selection of food (try the bacon waffle). service was prompt, very kind, personable. food arrived quickly and was good quality. would recommend for a first brunch experience.

serves full dinners!. this is a wonderful neighborhood spot for a full-on dinner.

the ahi is terrific!

until recently, i hadn't realized what a wonderful dinner spot this has become. candlelight. affordable. local wines by glass or bottle.

i had the sesame-soy glazed ahi. they also serve a full turkey dinner, steak, pasta and other entrees with all the trimmings.

excellent service!. seven of us went for dinner there last night, and everything was wonderful! our server was knowledgeable and understated, the food was more than we hoped for, just a pleasant evening all around. none of us were disappointed, and it was well worth the money.

we will definitely go back!

great location, beautiful lake outside the window, so so food, so so service,

the best restaurant in souh beaverton. innovative chef with great staff and beautiful setting.

we are regular brunch eaters and were delighted to discover this sunny cafe! the staff is friendly the coffee strong and the food outstanding. we had the blue corn pancakes, greek frittata and veggie omlette. all were delicious especially the omlette with goat cheese and carmelized onions. we will definitely be back!
