café lakeside is hands down the best place to eat a meal and enjoy your time in nainital. every hillstation has an iconic dining place and for nainital cafe lakeside is it. i had heard so much about lakeside that i knew i had to visit. it was worth every penny. the food is excellent, with agreatvariety to choose from. i especially enjoyed the continental selection (grilled fish, sausage and egg toastada to name a few). i would recommend anyone coming to nainital to definitely give this place a visit.😋

after finishing a tiring day if trek to naini peak and some sightseeing i wanted to fill my hungry tummy with some gastronomical goodies while relaxing in a comfortable restaurant. i noticed this restaurant which had a good and clear view of the lake and had a funky vibe to it. i had to wait for sometime to heat a seat at the kake facing position, as it was crowded at that time in the evening. after i got a seat, i settled into my position and ordered a hot talumein soup, as it a bitty chilly after having rained during the day. the cafe has a wifi for customers that i used to book my train ticket for next day. the soup was very tasty. the view from the lake is very romantic and i am sure couples will love it. but it only has a few stool based seats that face the lake, the rest of the seating is inside the cafe. the seating is very comfortable and loud funky music was playing. i enjoyed the soup slowly, as i wanted to relax and spend some time there. after that i settled into a comfortable sofa seat inside the cafe and ordered a butter chicken with roti. what better than this to satiate the hunger pangs of a punjabi :-) the butter chicken was lip smackingly delicious, the rotis were all 'phooli hui tawa rotis', the onion and green chutney weregreataccompaniments to the butter chicken. i devoured the chicken and four rotis with lots of chutney and onions. the quantity was generous.
mind you the rates are on the higher side than other cafes around. but it is more than worth it for thegreatview, cleanliness,greatfood, good service, funky vibes and comfortable seating.
i will highly recommend this cafe.

went to this place after seeing agreatrating of 4.9 but was completely disappointed. service is unbelievably slow. the staff doesn't attend, don't even handover the menu and there was no food after 40 mins of waiting and 3 reminders to the staff. the staff was completely indifferent when we asked to leave without getting the food.

i’ve been to cafe lakeside twice and had an excellent experience both times. the food wasgreatand the service was quick. on my first visit i had a veg sizzler and a lemon soda. on my second visit, i tried the veggie pizza, manchow soup and some fried rice and curry. everything i tried was very well made. the cafe itself is very well done up, with good music and warm lighting. cafe lakeside is all you’d want when looking for a place to dine in the hills :)

the cafe was beyond my expectations. the food was phenomenal!! we had agreattime and mr. suraj did his everything to keep us happy. we are extremely happy with the diverse menu and the food quality. there is no doubt that we would visit the place again!

this place serves the best food in nainital and has an amazing ambience with agreatview. this has to be on your list if you’re visiting nainital. peanut butter caramel shake is a must try

on our three day trip to nainital, we dined here all the days, this is how good the food is.
everything from pizza, pasta to the coolers and coffees is just pure indulgence, not to forget the spectacular view and some coffeehouse music.

for the entrées we had cheese corn rolls which doesn't have cheese but instead hung curd, typically known as dahi kebab or dahi ke sholey. not a fan of these but tasted good.
we had pesto pasta which had the creamy goodness and warmth of the spices and came with a garlic bread (perfectly toasted) on the side.
pizzas here are baked in wood fired oven with dough made in house which can be felt just as you hold the pizza in your hand, asked them to make the crust a little crisper.
if you're looking for something to keep you full for sometime order their burrito which has kidney beans and probably the best salad you would've had on the side.
the only part of the meal which wasn't at par was the dessert, to be specific the chocolate brownie waffles (contains egg). waffles were soft which is usually because of the batter or less baking.
don't miss their mocha cold coffee which is just divinity encased in a bottle.

as restaurants and cafes reopen i guess people are scared as well as excited to go out! and it was no different for me. but then i visited back this cafe and i was no more scared but only excited. with fewer tables, staffer with infra-red temperature gun for checks and masked staff with sanitisers, the team is lining up covid safety and pasta with equal energy. even the tables are disinfected every time and washrooms are deep cleaned. the cafe just checks off not only quality food but environment too! thank you for agreatbreak after long gap ! never felt so safe!!!

recently went to nainital and while enjoying the boat ride in the lake, saw this beautiful restaurant from far but i couldn’t take my eyes off. cafe lakeside is very beautiful and attractive, even from outside. thus, i decided to have all my meals here at this restaurant only. the place is even more beautiful from inside,it has got a very cozy ambience and a beautiful alfresco as well. i chose to sit on a tall chair in balcony with a view of lake and mall road. its the best restaurant in nainital and service makes it even better. thanks to jerry for making us try the best cold coffee. it was so so so good that i dont have right words to express. we ordered mix sauce pasta and sizzler, both were really yummy. pasta had agreatbalance of both the sauces and tasted really creamy and a lil sour, exactly how i wanted it to be. the sizzler was also super fresh and tasty.
i cant wait to visit nainital again to diner at this restaurant.

on our recent trip to nainital we visited this amazing place to have agreatmeal by the "lakeside"! 
 this place is really nice, specially the outdoor seating is very pleasing and the view of naini lake adds more .
the service isgreatand the food was delicious, so its worth an evening.
