cafe intermezzo

cafe intermezzo. nice place for a romantic rondevous, late night meet up or a drink (as the drink menu is vast - from hard liquor to wines). thedessertcase is full with no signs - so you'll need assistance from one of the staff standing near it with a great memory (they are trained to know what everything is). the food is subpar but the atmosphere makes up for it. i was there the other night and they opened up the patio and it had a nice touch. the wait staff takes their time (so be ready to order right away or see the menu ahead of time), even on a slow night. you can't not find something to eat and the nutella crepes are delicious! the caeser salad i ate last night wasn't anything special - they are better at somewhere like panera. i'd recommend it if you never tried it or want somewhere with a fun atmosphere - esp. on a friday night (this place is hopping!) or late night. a night out with the girls for drinks - that is another ideal reason.

visited this cafe for the second time and was semi-impressed. the decor, vibe, and products of the restaurant easily deserves a 5, but the service continually deserves a 2.5. this was my second time visiting the cafe, and once we were sat, we waited almost 10 minutes before any waiter came to our table. once a waiter came to our table, he stated, " i'm not your waiter, but i see you guys sitting over here." we gave him our order and then we asked if they had adessertmenu. he stated that they did not have adessertmenu, and that we would have to go look at the display and let someone over there know what we wanted. i thought that it was odd and inconvenient that, for a cafe that specializes in desserts, that they did not have any sort ofdessertmenu for guests to look at and see what each cake/pie/cheesecake contained, especially since each slice is almost $10.00. once we gave the individual our order at the bakery, we went back to our table. we received our drinks, the cioccoloccino and hot chocolate berlin, shortly thereafter, which were both tasty. but we waited so long to receive the raspberry cheesecake we had ordered, my coffee was cold. the cheesecake was absolutely to die for, the best cheesecake i have ever had. but, the restaurant had a maximum of 5 tables at the time we were there, so i did not understand why the service was so awful and slow. may return a third time to get better service. but for the prices of the products at this cafe, the service should be much more prompt.

my experience here was absolutely phenomenal. if you haven’t been in to try thedessertand do their pastry walk, i highly recommend it. even if you don’t want an entrée, go in for dessert. you won’t be disappointed.  

a new favorite spot. i loved this place for many many reasons. i think its the perfect place for any night. i dont care if your on a date, business meeting, or a fun night with friends, this place is a top pick.

my chicken florentine was cooked to perfection and thedesserthere is incredible. it was one of the best nights i have had while dining out and it's all thanks to how great this restaurant was.

my absolute fav.!. would eat any cake the put in front of me! lol theirdessertbar is amazing. i ate hummus here for the first time, and fell in love with it!

service sucks. every time i've been the service (if you call it that) has been awful, slow, and one waitress said while taking my order (and cutting me off) to the hostess that she didn't want to be there and she was going home in a minute. really? rude. then we waited 30 minutes for my cappuccino as i saw it sitting there and servers kept walking past it. same with desert.

don't come here if you're in a hurry,dessertand coffee drinks with no wait for seating, you're looking at an hr plus. easy.

also the set up for take outdessertis so dumb! i have to wait on one dumb person to tell every person individually what everydessertin the case is. a simple 10 minute project of putting up paper name tags in front of thedessertwould make things soooo much easier (i seriously almost left the last time and went to cheesecake factory where even when they're much busierdessertis still #1 cheaper, and #2 faster/easier.)

step up your game, word is getting around how much you suck. and i want so much to like you cafe intermezzo! but every time, no matter if the food is good i still leave frustrated and with an ill taste in my mouth.

awful and rude. my bf and i went last night to pick up some iced coffee to go and a dessert. the hostess told us to go to the bar and order. we get to the bar which was had no one sitting there and we politely gave our our order to the female bartender. she told us to take our to go order to the other bar, we over there and that bartender said his drawer was closed for the night and sent us back over to her??? how hard is it to serve up an iced coffee? i went back over to her and went in telling her she's right next to the bloodydessertcase! just grab the cake and take our money so we can go! the manager came over and apologized and seemed to be pissed with her which makes me wonder if she's just a bad employee. cake was good, coffee was good. service terrible.

yum. their cheesecakes are to die for. oreo cheesecake is by far the bestdesserti've ever had. however, the service sucks. it is terrible. i've been there at least 20 times and the same waiters and the same terrible service.
