love the cakes here and the coffee is some of the best in the city. the display of the cakes is mouthwatering and i love to pick one out while i am standing there with my daughter.

cafe intermezzo. nice place for a romantic rondevous, late night meet up or a drink (as the drink menu is vast - from hard liquor to wines). the dessert case is full with no signs - so you'll need assistance from one of the staff standing near it with a great memory (they are trained to know what everything is). the food is subpar but the atmosphere makes up for it. i was there the other night and they opened up the patio and it had a nice touch. the wait staff takes their time (so be ready to order right away or see the menu ahead of time), even on a slow night. you can't not find something to eat and the nutella crepes are delicious! the caeser salad i ate last night wasn't anything special - they are better at somewhere like panera. i'd recommend it if you never tried it or want somewhere with a fun atmosphere - esp. on a friday night (this place is hopping!) or late night. a night out with the girls for drinks - that is another ideal reason.

a lot of bashing reviews before this mainly because of the service. the desserts and drinks are amazing, no doubt about it. but it is extremely loud and busy, and the service is horrendous. it's worth coming to once, but sit inside where the waiters actually pay attention to you.

last week i had a business lunch at cafe intermezzo near perimeter mall. there is also a location in buckhead. they have a wide-ranging menu including savory crepes, salads, sandwiches and entrees. inside there are display case

worst place in atlanta. most people wouldnt take the time to go online and rate a restaurant they dined at so i think most of the positive reviews for this place are fake. service and food is horrible and its very loud for a "cafe". i've been there a few times and each time i thought i'd give them another try, no more.

i like it. they have really good food, also a very good place for fun. but the service continually deserves a 3.5. this was my second time visiting the cafe,

visited this cafe for the second time and was semi-impressed. the decor, vibe, and products of the restaurant easily deserves a 5, but the service continually deserves a 2.5. this was my second time visiting the cafe, and once we were sat, we waited almost 10 minutes before any waiter came to our table. once a waiter came to our table, he stated, " i'm not your waiter, but i see you guys sitting over here." we gave him our order and then we asked if they had a dessert menu. he stated that they did not have a dessert menu, and that we would have to go look at the display and let someone over there know what we wanted. i thought that it was odd and inconvenient that, for a cafe that specializes in desserts, that they did not have any sort of dessert menu for guests to look at and see what each cake/pie/cheesecake contained, especially since each slice is almost $10.00. once we gave the individual our order at the bakery, we went back to our table. we received our drinks, the cioccoloccino and hot chocolate berlin, shortly thereafter, which were both tasty. but we waited so long to receive the raspberry cheesecake we had ordered, my coffee was cold. the cheesecake was absolutely to die for, the best cheesecake i have ever had. but, the restaurant had a maximum of 5 tables at the time we were there, so i did not understand why the service was so awful and slow. may return a third time to get better service. but for the prices of the products at this cafe, the service should be much more prompt.

this place has an amazing ambience! i mean it really is very beautiful! looks like an old, elegant european cafe complete with attractive statues and pretty looking candles for effect. visited this place with a friend on a rainy evening and had a couple of coffees (regular and dark angel). courteous and prompt staff. an ideal place for catching up over some good coffee.

you can find this location of cafe intermezzo at 4505 ashford dunwoody rd ne, atlanta, ga 30346, the park place shopping center across from the perimeter mall. other restaurants in the same mall include the very good tapas at eclipse di luna (across the courtyard), steaks at mckendrick's, sage woodfire grill and of course alon's bakery.

one of the better cafe's in the atl. unlike others, they serve a nice selection of light foods and many delicious desserts. the staff was nice, service was excellent and the restrooms were clean.

used to be. i've frequented cafe intermezzo for 30 years
they used to serve the best cappuccinos anywhere. it was the only place i could get a good cup that reminded me of all the italian cafes in sydney. sadly they have gone down hill in the past 7 -10 years. management has changed hands and service has suffered. their product has somehow changed perhaps a switch in beans as well as careless busy baristas.
needless to say, it is the only " coffee house " in atlanta. the rest are coffee shops no matter what they call themselves. sadly there is nowhere else to go that is comparable in ambience. so we continue to suffer with bad service and cold coffee as well as dirty restrooms ( last time 2 of the stalls were closed off) when we want downtime or an evening with friends.

great place!. excellent breakfast and fantastic house coffee!
