tasty deep fried to order squares of dough that form a "pillow" in the fryer, they dust them with powdered sugar when done. the formula is simple and the results are delicious, if not quite as light as the originals in n'awlins. the young lady taking orders could have used a friendly pill the day i was there, but the product was tasty and i took it back to the condo, so she didn't impact my experience to any large measure. still, a smile and a kind word isn't that difficult, so cafe beignets only gets a 3rd gear rating.
