waitressing skill 101. location: easy to find since it is located on one of the busies street downtown.
parking: very hard to find free parking for dinner.
food: mediocre at best. my peking duck burger bun was soggy when it came to me, and wings were one pound of bones with barely any meat on it.
environment: really well laid out. spacious, clean bathroom, good calm lighting and choice of art. nice to see a bar on the other side of the restaurant.
price: too much for so little. thisplaceis meant as aplacewhere you bring friends or boyfriend or girlfriend to impress on them that you can afford it. just like irish times...so superficial.
service: the meat and potatoes....hah....
first of all, when someone tells you that the wings was not that great and why it was not that great, as waitress, you don't say "yep." and then walk away. (i used to be a waiter so don't tell me that i don't know how customers are like)
as soon as she did that, that just set the tone of my whole experience with cactus club.
(sarcasm) they should hire more under 20 kids to serve, especially ones that don't have any social skills except flirting. it was very comical to receive it especially for my friend that was there. my buddy later told me it felt more like a strip club, like dancers vying for your attention and money.
i guess the cactus club isn't just for this old timer like me.
